Gonna see a lot of me in the next while...

Just got the news from my doc today... I've been pulled from work until I get in with the plastic surgeon that does hands.

My left wrist is fubar'd from work. Tendon and Ligament damage.

Killed it in march moving a roll, felt it pop nicely, bone went out a bit and I squeezed it till it popped again...

killed again in sept, pushing down on a table for support and jumping up with material in right hand....

monday last week I tried moving the pallet jack and nearly crumpled from pain...

monday-wednesday off last week, mond-thursday was physio...

saw my doc and physio today, and I'm off for a few months on med leave until I get in with the plastic surgeon.

If you ain't sick of seeing me yet, you will be soon.

not much else to do but play on the comp, watch tv and sleep.

Hello there! I hope that the wrist gets better soon. Be careful what you eat whilst you aren't working! I haven't worked for some time with one thing and another and have managed to put on about 20lbs!

Oh, and by the way, Thank you! ;)

Regards Ken

if I put on about 10lbs I'll be where I'm supposed to be for my weight... My all of 170lbs at 6'0 is considered underweight... I stopped growing in grade 10 at 185lbs and 6'0.

Hey Patrick sorry to hear. I hope comp is covering your pay while you are off...not that that is any of my business :)
You and me both here all day everyday :) I hope the pain is not too bad? Take Care of yourself and remember, listen to what the Doc's have to say. I did everything they told me to do back when I had my car accident and am fine now in regards to the accident ;)
Can you move your hand at all?
Can I suggest getting totally hooked on Dawson's Creek? I know, I know but there really isn't anything else on TV these days. They just started the series over today so you are not that far behind if interested :) :) :) Man I need to get out of the house. Look at me addicted to the "Crack" Ah well could be worse :)
Get well soon :)

I can move my hand, I can pick up about 5lbs(my thermos is 1litre and hurts to pick up)...

just can't press on anything or bend my wrist much... and it pops when I rotate it too....

just hurts like an SOB to do anything with.

VW,

Sorry to hear about your injury man. Hand injuries are noooooo fun. Been there with a badly broken finger many years ago. Hopefully, your company has some sort of sick time pay that will help out.

The newest pain meds are working to keep it under control unless I pull a bright move like pushing myself out of the waterbed with my left hand.

slowly welcoming insanity and sleeping WAY too much.

Printed off 5 patterns to make a couple knives. Need something to occupy my brain for these coming months.
