Omg gayle Bradley 2
I was just gifted this knife from the wife and kids as a early Father's Day present and it's a **** of a knife. I've read a lot about the lock being tuff I don't think so but to each their own. Since I've came home from work I've been messing with this knife and it's so smooth and fit up is awesome. This is a knife if you don't own I would seriously think about buying for the price it's on par with some of the 500$ knives we see on the forums without a doubt. Sal and gayle along with the whole spyderco crew this is a huge home run. I can't wait to get more pocket time with this knife.

It is my favorite for long cutting sessions and is tempting me to get a GB1.

Do it ASAP. Base on your signature you're gonna love the ergos, probably even more than the GB2 for long cutting sessionsorangejuice wrote:It is my favorite for long cutting sessions and is tempting me to get a GB1.

I own around 30 Spydies and the GB2 was my 3rd. It is still far and away my favorite knife. You will definitely enjoy it. I know I have..

The edge it came with is like scary sharp. I've never owned a carbon fiber scales and really like the feel in the hand. Also never had m4 steel so just all around super excited about using this one

That's a great present. Good choice by the wife.

The only downside of the GB2 in my life is that I have little to no desire for any other Spyderco knife at this time.

At least you have something positive to say. :rolleyes:hoimin wrote:The only downside of the GB2 in my life is that I have little to no desire for any other Spyderco knife at this time.

It covers such a wide band of my EDC usage that I can't justify getting anything else at the moment.jdw wrote:At least you have something positive to say. :rolleyes:hoimin wrote:The only downside of the GB2 in my life is that I have little to no desire for any other Spyderco knife at this time.

Hoimin, I understand that for sure...Congrats to the OP on a great knife. I have the GB and it's one of my all time favorite knives. I have been on the fence a long time about getting the GB2 I love the GB so much, I am just not sure if it's different enough to justify buying it. And most of all congrats on a great wife and kids. Best unsolicited advice that I can give is cherish every moment. Life moves fast.

One of the best values in the whole knife world. I love mine.
JDW, despite the similarities at first glance it is surprising how different the GB1 and GB2 actually are. The GB1 is chunky, stubby and quirky but all in good ways. It seems very Spyderco with it's form follows function design. The GB2 is sleek, lean and more of a traditional mainstream knife. Compared to the GB1 it puts form first while giving up very little to function. I like both a lot.
