Landscaping, Gardening, plant and tree maintenance at a large "Garden Center" in my city.OakTree wrote:What do you do for a living?ThePeacent wrote:
I also help people out with their plant-related doubts, help carry and transport bags of fertilizer, etc. (ala retail job)
Hopefully it's a temporary job until I find something nicer

I hate working with people and while I don't envy your job, I do wish that I had more opportunity to cut things throughout my day. It looks like you get to cut lots of things.ThePeacent wrote:Landscaping, Gardening, plant and tree maintenance at a large "Garden Center" in my city.OakTree wrote:What do you do for a living?ThePeacent wrote:

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
A Case medium Stockman and two SAK's my best half gave me for different Christmases. Plus a Buck Rescue in a sheath so technically not in my pocket. I'm going to get the Assist Salt to replace it and it will be in my pocket along with rotations of my Caly 3.5 and Manix 2 and PM2.

Just picked up this BM Sentinel 875 from BHQ. Came in out of a private collection with box and paperwork and is in excellent shape for being over twenty years old. :)

we have proper tools and purpose-driven stuff to do the job at the workplace, but it's fun to test and use Spydies and other fun toys just because :DOakTree wrote:I hate working with people and while I don't envy your job, I do wish that I had more opportunity to cut things throughout my day. I use Victorinox SAKS quite a bit, primarily the Spartan, Tourist, Camper/Hiker and Huntsman.
Not too long ago I picked up a Benchmade 940-2. I was like a teenager with a new hot girlfriend for a little while and had no plans to carry anything else for the most part. Then one day I tossed an old Delica in my pocket instead. And again the next day. I still really like the 940-2 and probably won't be getting rid of it, but I'm back toting familiar FRN and VG10.

Don't buy knives from EBAY or AMAZON. There are plenty of good companies that will appreciate your business and don't sell fakes.
