I have one in the cart, but just pulled the trigger on a YO 2. This could be an expensive day...

National seems a bit pricier than others at $87.97. Can anyone who bought elsewhere confirm?

I got mine for $80.97 from knifecenter. I thought gpknives was $78 (though am not positive about that). National is a little more expensive.

I just missed them at Knifecenter and National Knives. Really like this knife. Is there some special way you guys are finding who has them or just checking all the usual sites? Cause I haven't ever heard of some of these (only ever ordered from 3 sites).

Yeah I saw that but it's a more than 50% increase. Not worth it imo. Hoping another retailer gets one that I can get to in time.

FRN and Damascus seems like an oxymoron to me.

Nice to have as an affordable Damascus option, but I agree...

Same edge retention, but how much corrosion resistance do you lose compared to standard VG10?

Wow only took 5 days to hit the secondary market. Bummed I missed it, glad it sold well, I hope they do more damascus in the future.

Interesting, this is/was a distributor exclusive right? many distributor level exclusives have been in play for years, with new batches coming around at seemingly random intervals.

Is there any solid reason to believe that this one is a one-shot deal and that all of them are actually sold out, rather than just the first batch selling through?

It's not a must have knife for me and certainly not for $150 off Ebay, but at $80 I'd grab one if they come around again.

I hope a few more 80 dollar ones pop up, I'd like to get one when funds are availible, but I think this was it.
*500 piece distributor exclusive.

Got one of these from National Knives a day or two ago. My first Damascus blade. I am planning on carrying and using this one, same as all my knives (which is to say quite light use, but they are not safe queens).

Anything special with regards to care of a Damascus blade that I should be aware of? I assume that the Damascus portion is as corrosion resistant as the VG10. Accurate?

Finally am I a little nuts for carrying this fairly rare model? Probably won't change my plans, but am curious on your thoughts.

Thanks, everyone.
