I'm experimenting with a MOONGLOW back spacer. I attempted using MOONGLOW as a back spacer material previously with no joy. The acrylic plastic is brittle and the lower tang of the spacer just snapped right off. That was before I started pinning the lower tang. This installation I have the lower tang pinned and so far... it appears to be working. I've thumb flick opened and closed the blade a hundred times or so and it has not broken the back spacer. I'll continue to play and time will tell... at least until I package it up and ship it out to the customer...

Thanks. I was nervous doing the jimping. I used a reinforced cutter wheel, and free handed it. Thanks for the tips and great idea, bro. It does feel way better now, and now I'll actually use it. Very nice design, other than the flipper in the way.

I really like that. I could live without the flipper but that little bit that still sticks out would bug me to death so for now I've left mine alone.

Should be no problem to get it out of the way - just grind off more. I like the feel and look this way. It bugs me a bit sticking out the top, but it's not a hindrance, so, no problem. It does still flip with a bit of wrist, too.

I think the acu digital camo scales and black coated blade Para2 is one of the sexiest color combo's on earth. Since the Manix 2 is my favorite Spyderco knife, I thought I'd try to make my own Manix 2/Para2 hybrid.

i modded a urban with this wood scales. because the wood turned out to be too fragile (or me not working precise enough) to support the axis - see crack in on scale - i decided add steel lines, which added to the weight of the knive, but in my point of view also to its classy appearance. :D looking forward to your opinions.

I Love the Native 5 LW. It's a nice size and weight for me to use as an EDC. I've got big thick thumbs :D . On my original Native I did the same mod as was done in the first couple of pages of this thread. Did the same mods om my N5LW as well. I Enlarged the :spyder: hole by about 1mm and removed some of the material from the scale to get better access to the :spyder: hole with my thumb. It now works like a charm with my big thumb :D
