Sal has asked what to do with the stock of K390 he has in Italy. How about making this exact ULW K390 in a back lock? That would be the cat's pajamas.

Exactly my experience, Marius!

I expected to try it, see what K390 was about and that would be that. But this little guy really wants me to carry it everywhere (it's a lot like our puppy in that regard! Haha) This is the first knife to seriously challenge my Balance for daily carry. Totally awesome.

I don't know, Doc. Doesn't seem to need it (IMO) And it would likely be a "new model". Sal said he wasn't in favor of introducing a new model in non-stainless (I know, he said "carbon steel" but I just can't bring myself to call steels like M4 and K390 "carbon steels". To me, these are "high alloy, non stainless" steels)

Sal said over on the other forum that this back lock version would be a Caly 2.5. (The Caly3 was a forum originated idea based on the UKPK, I seem to recall). He also said he wanted some ideas of what to do with his stock of K390 in Italy.

Caly 2.5 sounds great and a K390 would be a great fit. We can hope

I know they're a Golden model and not Maniago but how about a big brother for the Urban, the UKPK in K390?

****, why not go the whole hog and do the lil' Squeak in K390 too! Now that ones a Maniago knife so they have the tooling setup. I know the tiny blade wouldn't do the steel justice but it would put a big smile on my face!! :D :D

I will toss my vote in with the K390 Pattada crowd. I don't own an original because I don't care for the steel but all of the great reviews on the ergos would convince me to buy one with upgraded steel.

+1 to this, I would snap up a K390 sprint Pattada in a heart beat. :D :spyder:

I still want an ULW K390 back lock (Caly 2.5 with linerless FRN K390). This is the right size for me. I wanted something bigger than the Dragonfly, but smaller than the Delica, and not expensive, yet with better steel. This ULW is just the ticket and with a back lock would hit it out of the park.

So far I have not had to sharpen my K390 ULW and I use it daily for something. It has only stained/patinated very, very slightly. It is bronze in color where it has turned, but you have to look close. The blade is very slicey (I know it is not a word). It cuts very well. Loving this knife.

+1 as well; I'd add a second Pattada ASAP if it got an upgraded steel; it's been my EDC for a while now; but would love a better steel for sure. The ergo's of this knife truly are spot on.

It'd truly be a case of:

+1 from me too. I haven't got a patada and if its made in k390 it'll be very tempting!

Flash batch: K390 Lil pattada with 3 1/4" blade?
That 3.9" blade is just too long for my usual use.

Thanks for this, nice distal tapered thin blade in K390, deep pocket wire clip, the spring seems to have enough tension to give me comfort, all in a small package that can be carried around without being hassled by European knife schizophrenic governments

Have to buy a 2nd one

Waiting for a Manbug in S125V...kidding...or maybe not...

Yeah, this is a great knife and is non-threatening. Locks make knives evil, you know.

As for the Manbug, in reality I am for any new Manbug. CPM 125V would be difficult to do in a knife, but if anyone could do it, Spyderco could.

Locks are evil, knives are evil, soon we will buy kitchen knives only with a special permit and will be allowed to use them in the kitchen only on special occasions

Fantoni did a special run of Harsey design in S125V, I’m sure Spyderco could do it
