Yes, according to the 2006 catalog.

Gotta admit I'm interested. Not sure if I'll get one but I'll keep an eye on it

Can someone run down the advantages of the backlock over the CBBL?

I'm a giant fan of the CBBL for ease of use, quick open/close and ambidexterity (the biggest reason I prefer CBBL to comp lock). I realize ambidexterity is there with the backlock too, but what are the other advantages? Is it stronger?

For me its two things.

- Stronger self close. They stay shut better than any other lock type, which is an important feature for me. I only carry lock types with a self close (lock back, ball lock, szabo folder comp lock).

- Easier one handed closing. This will be subjective obviously, but I have over a decade of back lock one handed closing muscle memory and about 6 months worth with the ball lock. With a backlock I can put my index finger in the spyderhole while I depress the lock release with my thumb, then swing the blade shut with my index finger. The ball lock I release, tap the blade about 1/3 closed, then have to adjust my grip to finish closing it. Slightly less intuitive.

Pretty minor things for me, I can make either lock work and in fact have a Manix 2 LW IWB as I type this. I have a slight preference for th ebacklock, but the ball lock is very good.

The one handed closing definitely works better for me with CBBL. I think, as you said, it's probably just a matter of comfort/experience. But I can open/close my CBBL unconsciously and very quickly at this point.

Whoa, didn't see this one coming at all. I've never picked up a Manix 2 and wished it was thicker. I have, however, wished it didn't have jimped liners, so this solves that.

Unless this somehow comes in SE I can't really see buying it.

Yes please. Orange or yellow G10 on this model, and I would love both PE and SE options if we are dreaming.

3V or 4V would be nice. K390 might be, but I will wait till I get my Urban in a day or so and try it out before I can say for certain.

What are the chances that there will be an all black DLC version of this model?

I guesss we'll have to consult our crystal ball on that :) If it sells well initially i think there's potential/chance for variations!

Is there an ETA on this? 2017, or 2018?
