How about a Wharncliffe salt made with LC200N steel and the new yellow salt 2 FRN liner-less scales???

We could call it the 'Wharny Salt'. Just saying.

I think some of the options, proposed here or otherwise, are just too expensive once multiplied by 1,200 pieces.

One of the best such recent unique runs, that I think is apt, was the Never Summer / NFFF Native5 LC200N with red FRN for about $100. Great near rust-proof steel with DLC coating and partial serrations. A very unique piece, practical, cost-effective and a worthy cause.

Never Summer never managed to sell so many pieces exclusively to firefighters but Spyderco managed to easily sell the rest.

A very unique offering, not expensive, not impractical and one to remember in a sea of Sprints.

Delica/Endura with G-10 and/or a blade steel beyond VG-10 is impractical. The recent MassDrop Delica G-10 failure proved that.

My opinion on the MassDrop Delica is that the blade decorations are what hurt sales. A solid black blade would have been reasonable to me as a collector piece. The webs just didn't attract me, and I guess many others felt the same way.

I think I would be happy with a VG10 blade and G10 scales.

This kind of question always brings out a big list of "one-off" suggestions, that might appeal only to a small group of people. A forum knife has to be some sort of "lowest common denominator" so it will appeal to a lot of people, and has to use materials that have been used enough times before that they don't cut into potential sprints/exclusives that might be commissioned in the future.

Personally I would like this one to be other than a lockback and longer than 3", but lockbacks and small knives seem to have the most appeal to the most people so my personal preferences are less important than the interests of the forum members as a whole.

I voted other, I haven't read the thread so if someone already mentioned this one I apologize, but I vote for PM2 in Maxamet.

I'd love to see a Maxamet Dragonfly. :)

(I know that's a mismatch of model production location and steel, so I doubt it'll happen, but I can always dream).
