Paramilitary 2 HAP40?

#1

Post by Zatx »

HAP40 seems to be all the rage lately. Has there been any talk of it appearing in the Paramilitary 2?

Japanese steel usually is found on Japanese models but you never know things could change. There are some new Japanese models being made with American steel in this year's catalog

I could be wrong (and probably am), but I can't recall Spyderco ever putting Japanese specific steels into US made models? I believe it's due to Japan having export policies on their steel, again I could be wrong there, but I seem to recall reading that somewhere a while back.

If that is the case, we could try to get Sal on board for using Bohler Vanadis 30 on some models, or in a sprint/mule. It's basically their Hap 40 equivalent.

I would also love to see a LC200N Paramilitary 2.

I'm all for any variation in steel! Bring on the sprints like last year!

Why do we need a Hap40 Para right after they released two M4 Paras?

Hap40 is supposed to be a Japanese steel that is similar to M4.
