Sal, another run of the Swick?

Tough to find them on the secondary market :/

Its a really great design. Any chance we'll see another run in the future?

Personally I liked #3 the best, with the straight edge. I think wharncliffes offer excellent cutting control in smaller blade length packages, but I'd be happy with leaf or hawkbill as well :)

I'd probably buy 2. I have the 4, and it's one of my favorite knives. I actually meant to buy a 2nd one, but I was too late! I think the reason they aren't that popular is because they were only available through Spydercos website. I think they would sell well through normal retailers.

Hi Vivi,

Sorry, none left in inventory and we don't plan on another run. Interesting model, but a small market. We sold them consumer direct from the SFO, but they took a long time to sell through. If we made them for the general market, added a sheath and sold them through distribution, they would easily cost 3 times as much, so we opted to go in other directions.

I know we had some left from the factory sale in November. You could keep an eye out for next year's sale?

I picked my Swick 3 up at the 2015 seconds sale. Very neat little model, comfortable, great steel and super affordable.

As Sal said, there were still some left at the 2016 Seconds sale, they may still be there next year too. I personally sorted through about 5 leaf shaped swicks hoping to find one of the Wharncliffes.

They do pop up on ebay and the exchange and they seldom go for much more than they did new. Keep your eyes open and your wallet ready. ;)

I like using mine for fishing but outside of that I don't find a ton of uses for it. A hawkbill version would be nice for fishing too but sadly it sounds like that isn't gonna happen. :(

The Introvert is a folding Swick. Maybe check that out?

I appreciate the quick and informative reply Sal. Seems I have a knack for falling in love with less popular models. PE H1 knives, Swicks, Szabo folder etc :)

Luckily a fellow forum user contact me with a Swick 3 he's willing to let go of. I'll definitely keep an eye out for some at the sale! Been looking to visit Colorado this year :D

Thabks for the heads up. I'll probably get a backup from them, then see what I can acquire at the SFO sale later this year.

Same here Darby. It makes for a nice necker for fishing. I think the design kind of begs for a serrated hawkbill in H1 or lc200n but that would probably sell even slower than the others.

Between the two of us they'd at least sell a handful :p

Vivi,

Did you buy the swick the forum member offered? If so, how much?
I am itching for a swick (preferably wharnie) real bad and have been searching online for about a week now, found this thread in my search. Saw Country Knives but man that is a big price tag...
