What a hilariously delightful way to start a morning! :D Yes, it's a trainload....

Spyderco R&D is unaware of any such development.

Joyce have E-bay pull the auction before some dum dum blows his money on it. They are usually pretty good about pulling fraudulant sales once they are told.

I emailed the guy bidding on it a link to this thread.
I was going to report it as a fake to ebay but could not find the right page to do so.

It appears that someone cut the hole up, to make the knife a flipper style. It looks to be milled out or sawed and ground down. It its just a modified blade, if you like that kind of thing. Not my cup of tea.

Thanks to all who posted on this thread. As a result of your sticking your noses in where they did not belong, I am now being dinged by Ebay for a non paying bidder beef. I followed your advice and found out that you guys don't know the first thing about what you are talking about. The seller gave me a name and telephone number of a former sales guy from Spyderco, who he got this knife from, and he told me the whole story about where it came from and the name of the person who made it. His story checks out, your does not. So once more thanks to all you Spyderco know it all's who live here. I can sum this up in two words,

YOU SUCK !!

LOL :D Don't yell at me  Someone from Spyderco checked and said it was fake. We were operating on that. Tell us more details on what you found out. That way folks in the know here (spyderco) can compare notes. Then maybe We can all find out for sure one way or the other.

I love mysteries.

I think I used to own that knife!

Its an Endura that a fellow forumite cut with a dremel tool. I bought it - and then ended up trading it away, don't even remember what I traded for it.

It was a fun little novelty.... and that was it.

Someone DOES need to report that as FRAUD to ebay...

Fake Spyderco

#16

Post by strictlycz »

I am not doubting that this is a fake.....but on blade forums there is a post where someone talks about a spyderco with an emerson wave.

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...t=315829&page=2

Sal himself gets on there and states"We're working on an endura mod with wave for another forum"

This might be where he got the idea......don't know but check out the link

He should have used some common sense. all he did was give the guy his friends, or even his own phone number. How stupid can he be?
