What blade shapes would you want in Lc200N?
Fellow Spyderco collectors/users/aficionados: What types of blade shapes and grinds and also handle materials and shapes would you like to see Spyderco manufacture, using the new Lc200N steel?
I was thinking of this:
1 Hawkbill, both serrated and plain edges.
2 Something similar to the Endura and Delica blade pattern, possibly a Pacific-Salt like blade but in Lc200N. Would that be redundant, since there is one in H1?
3 Something more leaf shaped akin to the Manix or Sage.
They have the upcoming Fish Hunter, ofcourse, and I would like to see more about the postulated Caribbean, too.

4 This one is a little more "out there", but, the other day I got this mental image/thought image of a Spyderco fixed blade knife that has some of the pattern of the Warrior, but, with something of a more saber-defined semi-curved blade, with FRN handle scales, full tang or not, almost like a combination of the old satin bladed Aqua Salt, mixed with the satin bladed Warrior, with a saber-scimitar shaped blade with swedge at the tip. Something akin to that is what popped into my mind. I don't know what you'd call it but I like the design I saw in my mind.SpyderEdgeForever wrote:Fellow Spyderco collectors/users/aficionados: What types of blade shapes and grinds and also handle materials and shapes would you like to see Spyderco manufacture, using the new Lc200N steel?

Military with titanium hardware. Been craving a Millie Salt for years.

Since the Never Summer Native 5 was just let loose into the wild, I could see a light weight Manix in the future. The blade thickness is similar.

Something along the lines of the Manix or Manix LW would be nice, but I think the Caribbean will sport those two sizes and that leaf shape, IIRC.
Something ala Police (Longer, pointier than Pacific Salt) and definitely some kind of Reverse S (like the Lil' Matriarch) or Hawkbill like the Tasman, but a bit bigger

I'm hoping the the Never Summer release means the a production Native and Manix are imminent. The Native5 is such a great candidate for the Salt Series.

I will buy anything with a 3"+ cutting edge, plain edge, no recurve, and as thin behind the apex as the Spydiechef (i.e. ~0.035 at 1/4" behind the apex or less and ~0.015 at 1/32" behind the apex or less). I dare not even to dream of it also being ~0.100" the spine or less and having a distal taper.

I'm looking for something in FRN. A cross between the yojimbo and the spyder chef. Basically I want a yojimbo style blade with a handle that lets you get the edge flat against a cutting board. Like a pointy chopping blade. I'd settle for an frn spydie chef.

Delica and Endura with FRN. I want an inexpensive knife I can use and not be afraid to lose.

How about a modified spear-point (with the tip just barely below centerline)?
