I pre-ordered one from KnifeCenter, looking forward to it finally shipping . I had a sage 5 for a day but it just didn't ask me to keep it, can't really explain why.

My thoughts exactly
I am super glad they have base models with steel as good as s30v. When I have friends who are looking to get their first Spyderco, that's where I send them, to the very solid base models. But yeah after your 10th or 20th spyderco you start getting a little more picky, and in that regard I too will be eagerly awaiting the inevitable sprint run. I've held off buying a Yojimbo 2 for the same reason.

Hey guys & gals, thought I'd share that a CC member, on the Spyderco group on Facebook, received a shipping notice on his PM3! Only a week or two now!

Yep, I got to handle a PM3 at the factory outlet the other day when I went in to pick up a Never Summer Native. Really liked it and will definitely be getting one, though as Spydergirl mentioned, I think I'll hold out for the inevitable sprints / upgrades!

Well, I doubt there'll be any sprints if no one buys the base model. What's wrong with S30V?
- best wishes, Jazz.

S30V is perfect by me too. I'm not overly picky when it comes to steel. I simply cannot wait to get my paws on a PM3! :)

S30V suits me just fine and I have no problem buying the base model. I've been anxiously awaiting the Para 3 so I'll be getting one of these come **** or highwater. I already have several knives with S30V and a bunch with black scales. I like variety so I'll also be looking for the right sprint or exclusive to come along. Not sure what this will be yet (grey/Cru-Wear?) or how long it will take so I'll happily enjoy the base model until it's time to upgrade.

This just pushed me over the edge. I think I will try to get one of these instead of the Sage 5. I've got enough carbon fiber knives anyways.

I know members of the Collector's Club have these in hand.

Could someone please tell if the stop pin is floated or pinned?
