Good Day!
I like to call this one... "Good Day".
Had these two on me today. Two of my favorites. I got rid of an M4 Para 2 once. I'm not doing it again; man was that a mistake. :)

When you're cutting a rubber weather strip gasket and it doesn't cut as easily as you expect so you lean on it and it finally cuts, then later you go to cut open a bag of Combos only to realize your edge is completely destroyed because the weather strip had a steel core...
Oh well. That was the longest I've ever carried a factory edge. Props to Spyderco for the edge this baby came with. Time to reprofile.

I really like the quirky looks of the Ouroboros! Really tempted to get one...bearfacedkiller wrote:
Slight concern though - I can imagine how you could, in a moment of ham-fisted stupor, snap the blade right through the spydie hole...

Ouch. All in all, not a bad result there I'd say. Thanks for the unintentional destruction testing!Evil D wrote:When you're cutting a rubber weather strip gasket and it doesn't cut as easily as you expect so you lean on it and it finally cuts, then later you go to cut open a bag of Combos only to realize your edge is completely destroyed because the weather strip had a steel core...

Oh, the whole edge is chipped up, I just couldn't get my camera to focus on enough of it. Most times I'd tell people to just sharpen out minor chips with use but that edge is practically serrated now lol.mb1 wrote:

Great photo! I am soooo close to pulling the trigger on a mantra 2. I own the 1 and freakin love it. What do you like about the 2??RadioactiveSpyder wrote:

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Thanks Todd! They do make a nice pair :). I like the Mantra 2 WAY more than the 1! It's slimmer (folds up completely into the dimensions of the handle), flips like lightning and the grip is so much better for my larger hand (I'm 6'4"). The flipper tab on the 1 destroyed the ergos for me so I ground it off and like it better as a non-flipping Ti "Calica" . The 2 gets all the pocket time though. I'd say get one if you're already on the fence, I'd be surprised if you didn't love it like I do! Cheers, Radioactive :)mrtodd777 wrote:Great photo!
