Nilakka Being discontinued

#1

Post by ii_pennies »

I know the lil nilakka is coming out, but does anyone know if there will be a replacement zero ground knife in a more appropriate steel? Like maybe a Nilakka 2 or something? The cutting performance is just too phenomenal.

Updating the original to have the white scales on the lil version would be great. I'd buy one immediately. They would go nicely together as a pair.

Bring on the 'Lil Nilakka! Or the full-size without the thick 3-D scales.

I'd love to see a Nilakka with a different steel and a softer profile on the edges of the scales to eliminate hot-spots.

Absolutely. Exactly what I was thinking. Nothing wrong with the design, just missed the mark with materials. But what kind of wood? I vote kingwood.

I don't know. I believe birch is the most traditional.
