My Native II saved a life

#1

Post by Zeppelin »

My roomate's girlfriend's place is being fumigated. She left her 3 month old kitten with us. He jumped off the couch and tangled in the cords of the venetian blinds, effectively hanging himself. My other roomate tried to grab him and the furry little buzzsaw slashed him pretty good. Only thing left to do was cut the cord. Little cat lived, but another little while, and he would have been dead. I guess any sharp knife would have worked, but my Native II happened to be in my pocket, and I'm glad it was. I like cats, and I'd hate to see him die.

Good for the cat. They are pretty resistant animals, though.

Dialex, I've seen cats live through some pretty impossible stuff, but I couldn't stand that pittiful screaming. If I hadn't cut him loose, it would still be running in my head now.

I am more of a dog person myself, but I wouldn't want to see a cat strangled either. Good job, man!

My friend's cat was saved by a Spyder, too (the post is called "Spyderco saved a life" if you want to read it). Which is funny because she likes to kill spiders and eat them. No appreciation in that little one.

Zeppelin,

Way to save the day!

DanteCubit,

Cats show their love and appreciation through gruesome displays of violence. It's what makes them so cute!
