5 weeks - that's torture!

Finally picked one of these up. First Millie and I love it. My initial impressions:
- Fantastic build quality.
- It is surprisingly light and light feeling, both in hand and in pocket. The size would lead you to believe otherwise.
- The PM2 looks so small now!

A crap I spent my September knife $$$ on a ZT0562CF last night. I guess I'll be getting some CTS-204P so that's some relief..... And my first ZT after 16 Spyderco's.

How does this steel compare to H1, VG10 and S30V? I favor steels with superb corrosion resistance and the ability to hold thin edge angles and remain stable.

Corrosion resistance is excellent. Significantly better than s30v. I have chipped the steel a couple of times when accidentally hitting something hard. It should do ok but it would not be my first choice for holding a thin edge. .

You just wait till you get that 0562CF lol.....they are freakin phenomenal!!
Jason Bosman sharpened mine, and its prolly the best slicer I have besides my Nilakka. A wonderful pocket knife.
I will say my 204P and 52100 Millies are just as good. But that is really sayin somethin for that ZT.
Congratz man. .......now, I shall digress no more :)
Matter of fact, Jason was tellin me just the other day how well the Millie 204P sharpened up. Really nice steel.

I think this was sarcastic, but that's impossible to tell over the internet. In case that isn't picked up by others, there are actually plenty of steels like that, AEB-L (which you have mentioned previously) in particular was designed for razor blades, which are very thin and often exposed to moisture/chemicals. Although Lc200n is a bit sexier, I'm willing to bet that 99% of users would get all the mileage they needed out of AEB-L. I would buy almost any spyderco design in AEB-L.

I've been spoiled by carbon fiber. The G-10 Millies feel heavy to me. The first time I pulled a Military out of the box, my first thought was " My God, this thing is huge!". A week later, it was a normal sized pocket knife, but somehow my Delica had shrunk to keychain size.

Yes, given the meaning of "superb" in my own mind, which lacks any sort of rigor. However, a complete lack of rigor is commonplace when discussing these sorts of things, so it's something I've gotten used to and doesn't bother me anymore.

You seem to have direct experience with this steel, so really the question is whether or not you've found the corrosion resistance to be adequate for your environment. If so, an increase in corrosion resistance buys you nothing. If you've sharpened to an angle that you find acceptable, and have not experienced any gross (meaning: large) edge failures, then it would appear the edge stability is adequate for your uses and thus increased edge stability buys you nothing. Whether or not your uses and environment are particularly challenging somewhat dictates how accurate your impression of these two qualities might be, since the outcomes are binary (chipping v. not chipping, rusting v. not rusting).

Funny how (some) get caught up in weight on an EDC knife, but no one talks about cell phone weight that is also EDCd. Or is it just that I don't read cell phone forums?

Incidentally, the iPhone 5 barely weighs more than a PM2. An iPhone 6 weighs more than a G10 Millie. And I gain more than all of those together after Thanksgiving!

562cf is a very nice knife. I reprofiled mine to 13 deg per side and I enjoy it fora while. Also fun to flip
