Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!
I thought about it but, My friends are pretty old and I'm to embarrassed to ask them and haven't seen any family members in 2 years. I am going to wait a couple more days, if they haven't sold out, I will email Knifeworks to ask if I may buy another.BTG wrote:Have a friend order you another...or family member at another address....I was tempted...just too many other knives right now to double up on any for me.Hydrolic wrote:If I could buy a 2nd of the Knifeworks exclusive PM2, I would.
Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!
Used but the description claims it was never used or carried. Basically new.MCM wrote:used.
Either way, the prices one the secondary market for these are pretty ridiculous.

Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!
There's one ebay auction with a CC numbered knife for sale that has photos, not very good ones, mind you...
but I can see enough from them that I'm OK with missing this and "just" getting the BHQ version.

Funny, I just did the opposite. Canceled my order. It's just the same knife with a different scale. In the end I am looking for different steels and not scales.

Im all about M$, but more and more about titanium not CF.Flipping Addict wrote:Funny, I just did the opposite. Canceled my order. It's just the same knife with a different scale. In the end I am looking for different steels and not scales.
I was planning on keeping my second Jade M$ PM2 perfect in box but I think I'm going to go with copper scales or titanium scales.
Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!
I would have been all over this PM2, but the fact that it looks EXACTLY like two other PM2 sprints (S90V & CPM 154/S90V), kind of put me off. Not to mention the next TWO exclusive/sprint PM2s (52100 PE/PS) will ALSO look exactly the same as this
Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!
My shipping label was created today. Hopefully getting close to shipping.

M4 is comparable with S110V.
Incorrect. Not even close. S110v holds its edge way longer and even when it feels dull it will keep cutting. When m4 dulls it wont cut and doesn't hold its edge nearly as long. S110v isnt nearly as tough as M4 either. The trade off with S110V is extreme edge retention, extreme stainless, yet very little toughness. M4 is popular because of its edge stability and toughness while having great edge retention but not stainless. Thats why its popular for blade sports. How is that comparable?
While i WANT this knife..... my uses dont call for anything super tough anymore. Ill probably find an s110v para and pull the trigger.

Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!
M4 is easy to bring back its sharpness and has held its own very well in edge retention cutting tests.Popsickle wrote:Cujobob wrote:

Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!
I did an informal test of my M4 vs S110V in near identical blades and my M4 did better. Maybe this is attributable to my testing that wasn't 100% scientific but if nothing else it shows that they are pretty close.
