Saw this on Facebook. Honestly I was most surprised that an 8 year old can write in cursive since most schools don't even teach it anymore.

Awesome, start them young I say. Both my boys started receiving :spyder:'s at early an early age and now both are hooked :D especially my youngest, I think he's up to 5 :spyder:'s now. :)

Very cool letter! I had to chuckle when I read Owen's letter because you can almost pick up a hint of an apology in his tone and it made me think of my own three brothers (and how we acted towards each other growing up :o ). If I had to guess, I am thinking Owen was a little overzealous and inadvertently ripped his brother's Mid Year Guide and his mom may have then admonished him to write to Spyderco and ask for another copy. ;) :D

Maybe it's from 1996 and it got lost in the mail. :P

I hope they throw some holes in with the guide so he can offer an apology gift.

I saw a tweet this morning. :D

I suspect the (excellent) parents had some involvement in having Owen write the letter and making sure the letter was legible.
