Stevie Ray...
Go to a message where someone has linked to a pic and click on the small <IMG SRC = http://www.spyderco.com/forum/edit.gif> icon above their message. You won't be able to edit their post butt you will see the syntax they used to link to their picture, then just modify the URL for your picture.

Chinook,

Thanks for the response. I obviously need some coaching .. I gave up. I signed up with VillagePhoto and linked using the http hyperlink in my note. Is there some sort of special code or insertion mechanism you have to use to get the picture to appear in the text of the note? I can upload pictures like always, but I can't get the darn thing to appear in the text of the message. Deacon seems to know how to do it via the same web host, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Stevie,
If you're using Village, each picture in your alblum has two hyperlinks below it, click on the one that says Image URL and Tools, then look for "HTML for an IMG Tag" and highlight and copy the block of code below that that starts with a less than sign ( < ) contains something like:

img src="http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-9/3 ... ersian.jpg" width=500 height=336

and ends with a greater than sign ( > ) and it should work like this:
<img src="http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-9/3 ... ersian.jpg" width=500 height=336>

( make sure to copy the < and > signs as well )
Paul

Glad to be of help Stevie, and a VERY nice shot of the BlackHawk, thanks for sharing it with us. Now you gotta show us that Herbst!

As for resizing, I use the freebie version of MGI PhotoSuite that came with my camera. Most digital cameras come with it, or a "basic" version of one of the other photo editing out there. Any I've ever seen have some means of cropping (which it looks like you already did) and resizing a picture. They also let you adjust brightness and contrast, if necessary. If yours does not have some of those features, then the freeware one that VW mentioned is a good one to try.

Zrexxer, I should have mentioned that the Persian in that picture is not real, just one of my "Photoshoped" dream <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s. But, I liked the look of it so much I talked sc_rebel into turning that dream into a reality for me. Just got word from him it should be done by the end of the week, so right now I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas again.
