Ignore feature?

#1

Post by JT »

Ahem....
where do I find it? Let's just say, that for some weird and unexplained reason I have a sudden urge to use it...

and I'm not referring to the occasional "spam sales" posts that pop up every once in a while.

Hi JT,

I believe you simply choose the "Foe" feature under the person's profile and it will add them to your ignore list. I've very seldom had to use the ignore feature, but it does come in handy from time to time. ;)

Haha!! I was just thinking the same thing. Not something I've used often but I suddenly have the urge myself!

well, I failed allready. No use for it anymore.
This forum is one of the few, where people act kindly and smart. Its a shame that sometimes some a**hat comes along and takes advantage of that.

+1, it is a shame, this place has been like my last bastion of kind well spirited fellowship. I do follow a few other knife forums but don't participate much at those for a reason. After seeing certain behavior on another forum, sometimes the ignore function must be implemented post haste. :spyder:

This is the only forum I've never needed it on. Even the few times someone has irritated me that much, all I need is to go to another forum for a while and I realize how tame this forum is.

Yep same here. It's just difficult to be on good behavior when a select few are kicking caution to the wind :o .

Usually if the person keeps plunking posts I eventually take it off and reassess. Personally it's a sanity retention tool, not a grudge one. :)

Maybe it's like that Dane Cook joke...there's always one friend in every group of friends that nobody likes...and if you're sitting there thinking your group doesn't have that, then YOU are that friend lol.

I am about to use it. Insulting Sal is taking it to far for me to stomach. Trolls begone!

somehow I didn't see that ;)
Probably I am not very patient. Everybody, except one, who I put on my ignore list were banned within a week after that.

It is sadly unfortunate that there have been a couple of these trolling and continued negativity incidents on the General Discussion Forum lately, which is why you have not seen me visit there. If these incidents are allowed to go on undeserved and unchecked against a good company and its people, then the same can be done to me personally without support.
I find that more than a bit troubling........

I do not mind when people express opposing views. But, some people are purposely abusive and that I do mind.
