I have being trying/testing many knives this last weeks and the Dodo was not really my favorite UNTIL... I 've use it !

This Dodo blade is eating wood like crazy !

Very aggressive cutter thanks to his belly !

The Dodo is my favourite at the moment. A perfect combination of materials (black G-10, CPM-s30v, very strong lock) and function (great ergonomics, a lot of cutting power).

But I am also waiting for the Yojimbo.

The black G10 Dodo is awesome. Hopefully, a black G10 Yojimbo will be made (not that the blue one isn't also a necessity).

Have you tried any other hawkbill or s-curved Spydercos? While I find them hard to sharpen, I really enjoy all of the ones I've used (Dodo, Merlin, Meerkat).

Right on man! I have been studying the Dodo and have read mixed reactions towards it. About the only "negative" is an occasional sticky lock, I think...

Man, I gotta get me one of these soon...Wonder if Sal will ever backlock it into FRN...hmmmm.

All in all, the Dodo is one fine knife. No tip problems, in fact, it seems extremely strong.

Daywalker, I'm with you on the request for the FRN lockback Dodo. That would ROCK!!!

It's pretty incredable , lots of power in a small package . Also sheeple friendly . I,d like to see a compression lock .

The tip isn't as thin as it appears.

Although the stock is quite thin, the profile is about as wide as a BM 42 near the tip (superimpose the two and see).

I think the tip has the illusion of being thin due to the short, wide blade.

I love it, too. I think the ball lock is great.

It comes second only to the calypso jr, in my mind. In fact it probably outperforms the calypso jr in every way, but I'm slightly more comfortable with a simpler blade profile.
