Thank you! Love that funky thing. I was thinking about starting a Poliwog2 poll to see if there was interest.Spydergirl88 wrote:Great pic abbazaba!

That would be ideal! The flipper was growing on my tbh, but the handle was too uncomfortable for my hand. Its perfect now, almost as comfy as the caly 3 :DSpeedHoles wrote:Very cool!
Man, if only I could afford multiples at the moment, then I'd definitely give this a try on the 1, and keep another 1 and 2 regular... :p

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Hi guys, yup I sanded my Mantra flipper tab flush to the back of the scales. I first did it to the point Spencer has his but then proceeded to finish it a bit further. Note the remaining spot dives under the scales a wee bit when the knife is open, but I absolutely ensured that none of the lockbar interface was affected. As Spencer noted, the ergos are great on it now and I don't miss the flipper one bit! Cheers, Radioactive :)Holland wrote:Mine has a little nub, but I wanted it to stick out a little when open so I can live with it
Radioactive I believe sand it off to the point where it was flush when closed and open.

Nice work! Fun to see 2 people going about it slightly different ways to get it done.
Now, someone should try the Lionsteel way, and drill and tap that flattened tab, and have a flipper nub that can be installed or removed as desired. :D
Did you guys disassemble to grind it off, to keep the debris out of the bearings?
What did you use to remove the material?

I absolutely took the knife apart, taped the edge off, the whole nine yards. With my Dremel out of commission right now, what you're seeing is the result of a half hour of insane sanding and the decimation of about 8 brand new 120 grit sandpaper sheets!
