Thank you, Demon! Maybe I could arrange to send you an electronic gift card for a couple of pounds of your favorite coffee... on second thought, if I do that I may have to send Wouter a whole case ;) :D

These are the ones I would want first from the show:

Ouroboros !! (I'm encouraged since you said it was made for your hands and later made reference to your sausage fingers :D )
D'Allara G10 !!
PM3 !
Liner lock Delicas & Enduras !
Jumpmaster 2 ! (especially if it has a fatter handle & keeps the large type serrations)
Salt in LC200N (esp. if Pac SE)
Introvert
Gauntlet Sharpener !

Also very interesting:

ATR-ish Salt in LC200N
The Manix XL -- (I'll bet one reason for the choice of comp lock was to accommodate people who want tip down carry. I like the ball bearing lock better because it's more ambidextrous and I like tip up anyway and am not big on flippers.)
The Zome dyed FRN series
Manix 2 Blue Jeans G-10
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

This is a real sharpening revolution- The stones are 'cats eye' shaped in section, much wider AND longer than the triangle stones of the Sharpmaker- with a 'star shaped' set of holes for a variety of angles (or so it appeared)

It's hard to describe, but you put your hand into the 'guard' of the sharpener, making for a totally safe approach as you swipe downwards....Like a gauntlet!
Thank you for info.
This sounds very interesting. Possibly must have.

I have long hoped that this vault also contains a complete collection of every model, variation, handle type, metal treatment, and undocumented minor change, of every Spyderco ever made (Sal cannot acknowledge this or he would have to kill us, but if he could signal me in some way, I would gladly volunteer to guard it :spyder:  :p ).

- Lil'Native   I was not thinking something like that could happen ! Great news !
When I discover it I wanted to have a Dragongly built like the Native. :D
How you compare the Lil'Native to the Native and Dragonfly ? More informations please ! :D
And it look like this Lil'Native will have lots of option ! Great !

- The PM3 in G10 oki, it was previous, but not in FRN, a future winner

-I would have lot to see the 3 colors dyed Dragonfly and other :spyder:

That the 3 points on which I was more impressed !
So sad to finally not have been able to be at that meeting...
Lil Native came in three flavours:
The lockback appeared to have dual liners like a shrink-i-dinked current Native 5.
The Slippie may have had nested liners or none (can't recall)
The comp lock had nested liners (I think)
Build reminded me of the high end G10 Dragonfly- but a good deal more ergonomic for my sausage fingers :D

I hope Wouter's allowed to show the Zome dyed models- they were a real new look.

We didn't see the FRN PM3 but it was discussed.
Thank you for the reply and added words :)
Lil' Native a Native/G10 Dragonfly that is what I was dreaming !

Just my block-capital scrawl I'm afraid. ;)
Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

Thanks for the nice write up Demoncase! Good to 'see' everything pass by again.
Can't wait for the PM3's and would love to see how the 'Zome' FRN turns out but probably a shame it won't end up on the PM3 since it is apparently a Japanese production.. (the dyed FRN is Japanese that is) ;)

Thanks!
It had the washered bronze(?) washers around the grip screws you see on Farid's own knives, which Eric suggested probably wouldn't make it to production.

Sizewize- I've not handled the Slyz bowie but it looked to be about that size...Definitely bigger than a Techno.

There was some talk about this may end up being the 'medium' (as Farid called it the K2-M) and there might be a smaller (K2-S) on the cards in the future. Can't recall if that was 'as well as' or 'instead of'- and no word one the as-and-when of this.
I believe this was just Farid's 'medium' custom, it wasn't a Spyderco build version of it. This one had Farid's custom build with the rather overbuilt blade thickness, the production K2 also had a much thinner bladestock than the original, making it a much better slicer and it was suggested that this may be done to this version as well.
I don't own a Slysz Bowie either but I believe the K2 medium was a slight bit smaller than that.

One detail question: does the D'Allara still have its wire clip (I hope)?

Ah, I didn't pick up on that at the time: I guess it was meant to be an illustration of concept then.

Can't remember- one of the things that often changes betwixt Meet and showroom is clip type.

Close to a prototype, apart from the bladestock I believe the K2 was also the same in size as the original custom.
Great blade, would love to see the medium in production-I believe it would do much better sales wise, it being a great EDC size.

Before we switch over to Wouter's photo thread, I'd like to express my appreciation again to you, Jaylo, for thinking about all of us who weren't fortunate enough to go the the Amsterdam meet and for going to the trouble to take notes and report back for our benefit. I know you could have probably had a more relaxed time if you hadn't been looking out for us. So thanks again :spyder: :) :spyder:
