Not really important or prominent, just thought I'd add some proof that Spyderco knives are used by the pros. Be advised, this video is a body cam of an OIS (Officer involved shooting) and can be disturbing to some. Officers shoot a knife wielding suspect after he ignores many verbal commands and runs, and then ignores more commands. It was all around good work by officers involved. The Spydie is pulled about mid way through to cut the suspect's clothing to render medical aide. It looks like a Serrated Endura. It is also a good proof video that Serrated blades suck at cutting clothing.

That's kind of crazy.
"I won't ever do meth again."
It kind of looked dull. I wonder how a sharp one would perform.

More likely just proof that the officer needs to sharpen that knife. My SE blades will melt through clothing.Officer Gigglez wrote:It is also a good proof video that Serrated blades suck at cutting clothing.

It did look rather dull. But notice it still went through the clothing. Try that with other serrations and you'll get all caught up on clothing.
Re: Washington Cop uses a Spydie
It just show how sharp the knife.

That's in the city I live in. It definitely
Made the news. Glad I got to see the video.
Even it was dull it still got through the clothes pretty easy if you ask me.

Re: Washington Cop uses a Spydie
It pained me to watch the useless serrations. Give me a sharp plain edge any day. Only serrations kept very sharp will work, and a plain edge'll work better. In my opinion, they have very limited use. I have a couple serrated Spydies, and used one extensively at work opening and cutting boxes, etc. I can get them very sharp, but when I switched to PE, it was like night and day.
