The Kindness of the Spyderco Crew!

#1

Post by Stuart Ackerman »

I am incredibly touched by a huge bunch of flowers that arrived a few minutes ago...and I mean huge!

Sent by the Spyderco crew, of course! :)

My 83 year old Dad, Gerald, had a left hand stroke last Wednesday here in New Zealand, and I and my family, especially my Mom, have been taking the strain...
He can partially use his left hand, ( he is/was right handed ) and how long he will take to heal is unknown at this time...

( I told Rebecca at Spyderco in passing, via a few emails about his health )

We will see my Dad in the hospital later on today, and pass on the wishes of the Best Little Knife Company in the Universe... :) :) :)

My eyes are not exactly dry at this time, must be dust or sumtin' else... :o

Thank you kindly, Rebecca especially, and Sal, Gail and Eric...
You have truely shown that Spyderco and guys and gals like us, are part of one BIG family...

I feel your pain, my mother has been in the hospital for over a month now for the same thing. Best wishes.

That is an incredibly kind gesture indeed. This is one of those things that will stay with you for forever. I will be praying for your dad's recovery, Stuart.

geez, it's been a bad stretch here for Spyderco fan's parents :(

my father is also in the hospital now with a left side stroke... his is only moderate, though he can't walk and has no dexterity in his left hand.

My best wishes to you and your dad for a swift and complete recovery, and my gratitude to Spyderco for displaying its human side!

Here's to the rest of 2016 being uneventful :)

That is great! The folks at SPyderco are wonderful.
2015 and beginning of 2016 was a bad time for a lot of us. My wife and I both spent Christmas in the hospital and she only just got out 2 days ago.
