Yes, 40 degree microbevel with the brown stones and it will treetop leg hair. If this steel has good toughness and edge retention its going to be a total winner.
Re: Hap 40 Delica thread
Curious of people's thoughts on the Hap40 Delica now that a bunch o' time has passed and with all the other options available. How are ya'll liking the Hap40 Delica as opposed to ZDP, Vtoku2, and whatever other tasty steel choices are out there?
Re: Hap 40 Delica thread
I have a lot of HAP40 (including 4 Delicas) and I really like it.

Best knife and steel combination on the market without question.
Re: Hap 40 Delica thread
Just bought my 3rd delica in hap40 (one is the wharncliff). Also have 2 dragonflies in hap40. I've really enjoyed it, and really want the older caly 3 hap40 sprint.

Wow high praise indeed. I gave the ZDP Delica a try and it wasn't for me. Now have a Hap40 en route so we will see how she goes.
Re: Hap 40 Delica thread
Personally I much prefer hap40 to zdp - it just fits my needs better and it's much easier for me to sharpen, and sharpen well. Let us know what you think!
