New PM2 and have a question?

I just received my new PM2 in 110V today and I
noticed it was set up for tip down carry. Not a
big deal but of the eight PM2's I have all of them
but this one came with tip up carry? So how did
your s110v PM2 come?

This seems normal to me. Although I don't yet own the 110V PM2, my S30V PM2 arrived in the tip-down configuration. All of the new stock PM2's I've seen come this way too.

Mine came tip down if I remember correctly, not positive though, I do remember changing the clip around though.

All three of my my PM2 came tip down, perhaps your others were pre owned or non genuine?

I just got one of the brown G10/S35VN PM2s and it was set up for right pocket, tip down.

Not to mention, tip down puts the lanyard tube at the bottom of your pocket, that doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Ive had over 10 BNIB para2s and all of them came tip down from factory

Knife news just did a survey and found that 64% of users prefer tip up carry. I wonder why Spyderco doesn't change the para to tip up from the factory. Not a huge deal, but when I switch mine the clip leaves a minor imprint on the g10 from where it used to be positioned. Kind of a bummer that could be avoided if it shipped tip up.

I would look very closely at the G10 on the pivot end of the handle. I've found that you can almost always make out a little imprint where the clip used to be mounted. That would at least tell you that someone has moved the clip and the knife may have been previously owned and returned, or someone at the retailer played with it.

Have you purchased all 8 from the same dealer? If so he must be moving the clip or maybe they aren't genuine?

They come tip down with the clip near the pivot.
