Hello Chad,

You'll be in my prayers too.

I spent about an hour 1-1 with Sal at the Oregon Knife Show. We talked about our mutual love for Lotus cars, and even some of you guys...Dialex and of course the darling Simona (barefoot girl)in particular. Whatever happened to her? No posts.

Naturally he rolled out all his prototypes. Some great stuff is coming. His newest model, a rather smallish folder, is first cut of plastic. He carries this model around for a while to see if the "feel" is right. He's looking at a smaller version of several past knives (I think I'm sort of sworn to secrecy here), and he did, in fact have a rather large knife (really big--maybe 3 3/4-4" blade). Beautiful brute of a knife! It had 2 deep finger choils in the liners, which were G10 if memory serves me. I'm a little foggy on the blade shape, or much that he said about it, but could this have been yours? Sounds like it might have been. Wish I had known if it was yours. If this vague description fits your knife, then he's definitely making the rounds with it.

As a little extra bonus, we were joined by Ed Schemp, and saw some of his new prototypes as well. Great time spent with 2 of the nicest guys around. I'm always a little blown away by Sal. Really smart and impressive, without the slightest degree of pretense. A really memorable time.

I think you see by the posts above, we're all excited for you. Better work on the logo or signature for the new blade. Maybe something Hawaiian?

Aloha ALL!

Mahalo much for all this support! I was not expecting this many replies! Honestly, if I can pull this off, I'd really like to be able to send all of you my folder when it comes out!..for all of this support!!!

My good friend brought up an interesting point in that I may not be able to post an actual image of it...yet. I have to find out on what scale of secrecy this is on before i do. After all, it does have a great deal of features and an ORIGINAL shape regarding my ITR and offset pivot...I'll find out though and try to get permission to post a pic.

Hey, AET...why is it that you have TOO GOOD of a mental picture of my design? HMMMMM...'specially regarding my ITR and choils?...BTW-Thank you my friend.

Also Swede: It may have been mine, but the blade length is too big for this particular design. The choils sounded right, so it may be a variant of one of my other designs. Were ya able to handle a plastic proto w/ a black blade? It has a pocket clip and all...it was this design that Sal will be making a SS proto of. Well, more like Mr. JHONES will be doing the actual putting it together.

Again, thanks to you ALL and God Bless for all of your support and prayers. Let me tell ya, you guys/gals will NOT be disappointed!

I was very touched to read all of your replies...don't know what to say except thank you all, with all my heart.

God bless,
DAYWALKER/Chad

daywalker, if its the will of god, the sky is the limit for this design. if its gods will that its not, the "sky" is still the limit of someone who trusts in the will of god. if you trust and believe, you can`t lose ! your friend in christ, lee
ps. i am praying its his will

Daywalker/Chad- I think that is so admirable that you've designed a prototype!! Certainly I will send out some prayers your way! I am positive God wants you to succeed in your venture! I'll say it again- this is the MOST friendly forum I have ever been exposed to on the Net!!! Everyone seems so sincere and truly caring and helpful. BTW, I just ordered the DODO, serrated edge, in blue. Chad, you helped me to choose between that or the Karambit, and I think this is a good choice. Again, many congratulations on this new adventure in your life!
