Upcoming 2016 Pre Orders at KC

#1

Post by Capt'n Boatsalot »

Knife center has their 2016 Spydercos up for preorder here: http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store ... dersearch1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Some interesting knives, for sure. Who knows when we'll actually see these, but I definitely interested. I won't pre order though. I've always had good luck ordering once they actually drop.

The Military in 52100 has carbon fiber scales, and is $209.

The S110V Military for $174.

Lil Lum $132.

Not sure what the Snap It Salts are but I'm sure they'll be fantastic.

A bunch of Native 5s. 40th anniversary $360, S90V and fluted carbon fiber $252, G10 S110V $150, Lightweight S110V $111, and some S35VN variants.

Stretch HAP40 $110, Dragonfly $69, Manbug $53, Ladybug $42.

I'm also unsure what the Mantra is, but it's apparently in M4.

Edited to correct HAP40 prices based on KC update.

Properly hardened 52100 in a C36 would be a dream come true.

Edit: it's listed as a sprint, not an exclusive. Did I miss an announcement or a casual bombshell?

Its all in this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=68581&hilit=52100" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A 1000 piece run according to Sal. Not cheap due to CF and he also mentioned 52100 is very difficult to work with in a production setting which probably affects the price.

What is this 40th anniversary native made out of?
Current favorite: Manix 2 with carbon fiber scales and cru-ware.

Interesting, I haven't even heard of a few of those, I think KC jumped the gun a little.

I'm always happy to see new Military's coming out! More to add to my Millie collection.

Wow... they're bringing back the Snap-it (C26), and the Rock Salt in orange. Pretty sweet.

Some pictures of the old Snap-it at the above link... I believe newer versions had the clip on the opposite side so it didn't get in the way of the blade. I last saw them for sale on Sierra Trading Post about 5 years ago.

What's a Pattada?

That's a lot of new Natives. I will definitely need a 40th Anniversary...I wonder what it will look like?

Think of a Remote Release, but with a carabiner like attachment on it.

Ahhh right... I was thinking of the remote release I saw for sale a few years ago. Getting the two mixed up.

Cool to see those Snap-it's come back!
Also nice to see that the Native5 in S110V seems to be coming in both G10 and FRN.
(I would only get one in FRN but I'm sure it's the other way around for plenty of other people)
Nice to see that 52100 run on it's way, I'd prefer something cheaper than CF but still very happy it's being made!
I don't recall what the Mantra might be but it being in M4 it does sound interesting.. ;)

Gah...52100 or S110V. Two very different steels but I want both.

Yes. The choice is far too complex. I can see I am going to have to have both.
I appreciate this Topic, at least now I have some time to save up for them. :D

The three on the left are my Snap-its from the 90s. One has hung on my fishing vest for many years. A salt version could easily replace it. I don't know what the new one will look like, but I'm very curious to find out.

Image

The Snap-it was my favorite knife for quite a while back when I first got it but there is one flaw in the design. The clip can interfere with some cutting tasks. I wonder if there will be any changes to the overall design.

Nice, I like it! Seems the clip would be much more logically situated on the butt end of the handle no??

A few of those are interesting.

40th Anniversary Native. What could that be?

Snap it salt sounds cool too.
