Deep Carry Clip for Manix 2?
Deep Carry Clip for Manix 2?
Recently I've been carrying a foliage green flat ground Manix CTS-XHP. I think it is a Manix 2 model.
It's great, but I'd really like a deep carry clip for it.
Suggestions?

The Manix 2 seems to use what has become Spydercos most common 3 hole clip and there are a couple people who make deep carry versions of it. You might want to check out this thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=68644&p=1044069&hil ... h#p1044069" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Deacon to the rescue! (Again!) Thank you sir!
Re: Deep Carry Clip for Manix 2?
That was easy. Contacted Casey (http://www.lynchnw.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and he responded right away. Ordered two short clips, one for Manix 2 and the other for a ZDP Stretch.
My main concern is as low profile as I can get, nothing to attract attention. Would you think the raw sandwash Ti would be the lowest profile?

The manix and more specifically manix xl are the spydies that would benefit the most from a different clip design. They're so wide in pocket that I know a few people locally that don't own one just because it doesn't sit right in their pocket Eben though they like the design overall.

Pop's Custom Clips, they're the best clips I've ever used. https://www.facebook.com/popscustomclip ... &ref=br_tf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Casey Lynch clips worked out well, thanks for the lead Deacon.
It's nifty to be able to carry so much knife without advertising it up top.

They havem on . Amazon or ebay.I dont like deep carry clip cause I use lanyards.
Re: Deep Carry Clip for Manix 2?
Yes, many models on Amazon. Interestingly the ones tagged for Manix are all more expensive ($22-30) then the Casey Lynch clips ($16). The Amazon aftermarket clips appear to either get top reviews or bad reviews. No in-between!
Here's a gratuitous photo of the three knives I've now clip-modded. The Stretch mod was a little more carefree than the Manix mod, because I was able to use the lower-profile Lynch-supplied screws for the Stretch. On the Manix, I had to use the original Spyderco screws because the Lynch-supplied ones weren't quite long enough. The Manix screw heads are considerably larger, so they were tougher to get into position and stand a little prouder when complete. That makes for a nice tight fit against the fabric of my pocket, and probably also means my pocket will get additional wear.

This photo because Evil D wanted to see a side view, and what Evil D wants, Evil D gets:

Width including most narrow point of clip: 12.7 mm
Width including widest point of clip: 18.2 mm
From butt of knife to apex of clip: 4.0 mm

Nice pics, Bolster! Btw, if Evil D got what Evil D really wanted, he'd have a black DLC Yojimbo 2 in 110V clipped to his pocket! Lol :p
