What would be the most 'niche' or 'out there' Sprint possible?

So- spurred by a comment about a " Carbon fibre handled Civilian in a supersteel" as a niche Sprint:

What would be your most 'out there' Sprint that you would entertain but know it's so far out of the ballpark that it'd never happen..

I'm looking for the "Inception" of sprints here- that's a niche within a niche within a niche. :D

Let's have some fun :spyder:

Ha, for the 4th level, raw unconscious, time is meaningless sprint: S110V Maddox with lightning strike carbon fiber handles.

3rd level: VG-10 Ocelot with something different machined into the handles.

2nd level: VG-10 Schempp Kris with brass bolsters and green smooth G10 scales.

1st level: VG-10 R with lightly contoured smooth G10 scales with machined grooves in the same pattern as the old skeletonized R.

I'd only actually consider buying levels 2 and 1.

This Sprint speaks to the demographic of ELU's who need a hard use tactical keychain knife (would this be a niche or an oxymoron?) that is office friendly...

I give you the Spyderco Hummingbird in CPM-20CV, with purple annodized CobraHood and Powerlock...

Scales? you ask....stainless with a hummingbird etch of course, with the Mike Draper top-secret ink treatment

This would work for the next Forum knife also, IMHO

I don't have anything super wild or exotic on my wish list but I'd sure be happy to see a yellow salt version of the Military.

I'm going with the Nilakka in Vanadis 4E/Viking laminate blade at 66HRC and spalted Masur Birch scales.

I want one... and a few of the others put forward as well

Here are a few of mine (in no particular order):

1. Michael Walker in M4 with stonewashed/matte Ti scales.
2. Poliwog in Superblue with 3D contoured CF scales.
3. Leafstorm in 110V with dark blue G-10 and rainbow anodized Ti back spacer.
4. Phoenix in ZDP-189 with Ti frame and lightning strike CF scale.
5. Goddard in HAP40 with dark green linen Micarta scales and matte/stonewashed Ti bolsters.

Oh I could do this all flippin day.

Realistic dream knives that could very likely see the light of day if the stars aligned just right:

ZDP Centofante 4 with CF handle (I also think the Centofante knives would be excellent in stainless)
ZDP Kiwi 4 with CF scales
Rock Lobster in ZDP or SB, CF scales
Ulize with serrations in the recurve section
Captain with serrations in the recurve section

Some things that would take more than just pulling strings to make happen:

Solid G10 and/or peel ply CF Manix 2 without liners (or rather with the little 8 shaped LW liners around the pivot) ala Dodo.
Dragonfly 2 with a wharnie and/or hawkbill blade
Manbug with a wharnie and/or hawkbill blade
Manix 2 LW in H1 with serrations
Vesuvius with updated/improved compression lock, S110V, with Ti bolsters and CF scales (my idea of a gent's knife)

:D I'd better ante up and come out with mine then:

Military with a chequered Titanium RIL grip and a Stellite blade- completely non-magnetic...Could call it the "EOD" ;)

Chapparal with a Kyocera ceramic blade and a phosphor bronze grip- both 'chipped' to look like knapped flint- the "Primitive Gentleman"

Poliwog- serrated, H1 blade with a lightning-strike CF handle- The Angry Tadpole

An all H1 Dogtag- the "All Weather Doggie"

P'kal folder- Serrated edge M4 blade, bone micarta, 3d textured for grip- "The Reliquary Edge"

I'd would be nice to own a Chinese Lum (regular size) with blue G10 scales and Super Gold or Super Blue Steel.
Most recently acquired: Military 2, Paramilitary 2 Tanto x2, YoJUMBO, Swayback, Siren, DLC Yojimbo 2, Native Chief, Shaman S90V, Para 3 LW, Ikuchi, UKPK, Smock, SUBVERT, Amalgam, Para 3 CTS-XHP, Kapara, Paramilitary 2 M390
Grail Paramilitary 2 M390 X 2! ACHIEVED!!

Off the top of my head...

Caly 3 & 3.5 solid superblue pre-oxidized with their deep gray oxide (ferrous?) that seems to "stop by itself" (like hair :p ) and antique olive drab canvas micarta scales, sort of like Cuscadi's "Dr Jones" Tenacious and Delica.

Practically any knife in supeblue or CPM M4 with the same treatment.

I've never tried the Emerson wave and probably wouldn't even like it very much, but I'd buy a Manix 2 and Manix 2-XL Emerson with olive drab G10 scales and a DLC blade. Heck, I'd buy 'em without the wave.

Edit: meant to suggest ferrous instead of the usual "rust colored" ferric, or maybe it's some other iron oxide which doesn't even have a common name. And I suspect part of the superblue oxide involves other elements in the steel.

K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

Hmm, given that you can currently buy that exact sprint, I'd have to say that it's not actually too "out there" for spyderco to do. ;)

I guess I was thinking niche. Only because it's still available, it's obviously only selling to a joke market.
