Civilian/Matriarch/Reverse S pictures

#1

Post by Studey »

I've searched, but couldn't find much. I thought it'd be neat to have a bunch of pictures of these knives posted in one place! I love the curves of these blades.

I don't currently own any, but I'd like to get a Matriarch 2.

I'll start things off with these pics from the net.

Does the SpyKer count as a reverse S blade?
EDIT: I see that it does not. Thanks for explaining that, Studey.

Sweet pics!

Regarding the Spyker, no, it's a recurve. Reverse S specifically denotes the hook at the tip, ala the Civilian, Matriarch, Cricket, etc.

Man, if the Lil Matriarch came waved I would have to put my hatred for the Delica handle aside and buy one. I'm not too fond of the extreme hook tip on the Civilian and Matriarch. I have only held a Civilian, and it is the only knife I've ever had in my hand that made me feel uneasy...I'm not even sure if that's the best word to describe it, I just got a real sense of what that blade is capable of doing and it was a bit intimidating for sure.

This foto from net. "To scary people", looks real BADASS. :D I have one of these chinese knock off. Now it in my EDC, help me in garden work. Not really proud of it, but after that thinking about real Civilian, because i can compare build quality for few models.

Its really scary "innocent" and people who something knows about knives. And jobs done very well. I have P'kal and Yojimbo 2, and can say Civilian best knive for defense at panic mode. You can't stab bad guy with S blade, but for panic defense, it will be very good...

The old school Meerkats were Reverse S, also.
