They used to call me 'samo', well, I guess after I'd retired myself from the forums after hitting 3K, I decided to stay on with a new forum name, hence : "play it again, Sam!" well, 'samo' is still 'samo' on Blade Forums and Usualsuspect Net..

Very nice thread indeed. I guess mine is pretty straight forward. I spent my first years in University as a film student and loved James Dean's work. There you go

This is just a name I've used as an online alias for a few years. Well, actually, technically, The 2nd Saint, but that makes even less sense than the first nick. So, yeah, no real story, just some boring anecdote.

tsk tsk another OT

Actually this nick name is intentionally misspelled. I didn't like the two s's in the constellation but I got this nick back in 96 when I divorced my husband. It is symbolic of my mood then as people didn't like my leaving him and my whole life was turned upside down and I felt punished by my community for leaving him. I actually was a newbie to online chatting so I picked the nick Casiopeia who was hung upside down in the heavens for her transgressions. There to be seen in both hemispheres for her punishment that she can never rest.

I KNOW I KNOW...pretty mellow dramatic ...but so my divorce and my leaving the church and community I was involved with at the time

That's not really off topic. Mine is my middle name combined with my favorite all time rock song! Hey Outlaw, I got to see the Outlaws in concert in the early 80s. They were backed up by Foghat & Johnny Van Zant. Great show! RKBA!

oh well..
Two reasons:
1- my favourite song of my favourite group, Joy Division, an UK group of late 70'.

2- being mostly an anarchist individualist (or a freethinker , as you prefer), what better of a little Disorder

Mine's Latin for "secret" -- which is what most of my knives are to my wife. I chose the neuter form because "arcanus" just sounded too **** dirty.

There's really no meaning behind mine. I do Use knives a lot, but for the most part I just thought it sounded cool.

I love Star Wars, and I kinda wish the order of the Jedi really existed. I would love their powers, the their adventures, their wisdom, and of course their weapon of choice, the Lightsaber. My favorite Jedi is the young Obi-Wan Kenobi. He's a knight. The Knights are young, fast, agile, and more fun than the Masters who are all powerful and all knowing.

Why S&S? Hm.

Well, my HS mascot was the Knight. When I signed up here Knight was taken (though I've never seen a post by...), so I went for the classic Knightly gear.

My moniker is from one of the best graphic novels of all time, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... en.
Rorschach is a tragic, dark and conflicted character, but he also has a lot of very admirable traits, some taken to extremes.

I'm not a big graphic novel reader, but Watchmen is a great story.

Rather boringly mine is just a contraction of a nickname from college. Maybe given enough time I'll come up with an interesting tale to go with it.

Rorschach:
Do you have the strange mask and P.I. gear, too?
Watchmen is one of the all-time classics.

Btw., I never would have thought I'd hit a nerve with the name thread. This is generating a lot of posts.

silverback,
Well, only the strange mask I was born with. Affirmative on the PI gear, though. Although I still don't have a gas-propulsion grappling hook.
