Manix 2 XL or ParaMilitary 2 - Which to get next??

I have been thinking about a black on black PM2 or a Manix XL for my next Spyderco. Which one? :confused:

Well, depends on whether you need it or want it. If it's a case of want, you kind of have to listen to those voices inside your head and go with which one the knife voices want.

Paramilitary 2 is my favorite folding knife in the world, so I vote that.

Big difference in size despite the stats on paper. I really like the Manix 2 XL but for EDC the Paramilitary 2 is real nice because it is thin and light. If what you want is a big knife then go for the XL. And i do carry my XL to my office occasionally.

Why not the regular Manix 2? It's the size of the Para 2, but has all the features of a Manix 2 XL. If you'll end up with them both anyways, I'd go with the Para 2 to start. It's a great size for EDC, and if you want something bigger, get the Manix 2 XL later. :)

I have a Manix 2 - was thinking about something bigger, so leaning towards the XL black on black

Oh in that case yeah probably manix xl. I have a manix 2 and a PM2 collection and the PM2 is just a smaller lighter knife. The manix 2 is wider thicker and quite heavy by comparison. G-10 handles, similar length in blade, FFG is mostly what they have in common. Otherwise pretty different.

Just about ready to pull the trigger on a Manix 2 XL black on black
