Hi folks,
The Pacific Salt H1 presented on the Spyderco website carries a H1 logo on the blade. The one I have an eye on does not.
Can it still be original? Bear with me, I'm still new in the field...
Thanks,
Michael

That looks legitimate to me. My first Pacific Salt had no markings on the blade other than the ricasso markings. I've seen different variations over the years. I've been trying to find a yellow handled version like yours for years now.

The pictures you posted aren't very high-res, so it's hard to make out, but judging by those old-skool grey web boxes, that is an early generation Pacific Salt, so back then they didn't have the H1 logo "tattoo" on the blade, they just had the little imprint stamp near the pivot where it says "Spyderco H1".
If I look at the oldest catalog in the archive (2006), the Pacific Salt picture does not show the H1 logo.
If I look at the 2010 catalog, it *does* have it. Not sure exactly when it was added, but appears to be between 2006 and 2010 anyway.

Probably just an older one. My plain edged yellow one doesn't have the H-1 logo either, and I bought it from the Spyderco booth at the NYCKS in '04, so I know it's the real McCoy.

Thanks guys, gives me a good feeling - since I couldn't wait any longer and took the offer. :D
Yeah, it apparently is an older version. But from the looks of the pics in quite good condition. And I got a really good price. Shall fall into my hands tomorrow. Can't wait!
Is going to be my third Spyderco. Byrd Meadowlark 2 and Native 5 are already mine, and a Centofante III is incoming, too. Then they will be four...
Me likey!!
