The Roadie has proven itself a very capable little knife to me. I really like the colors. The gray is kinda classy looking.

The "Rhino" would have been a cool name for the Stick imo.

Man I love that Vrango! I just noticed that it's tip down only though. That's a bit of a bummer.

When I clicked to page 21 I thought I was about to see a Titanium Jot Singh Khalsa. As I scrolled down, the next thing that popped into my head was a Ti, Jot Singh/Szabo hybrid.

I am looking forward to news for both but hey, at least there has been ATR's in production in years past. The Shaman/Chief has been a unicorn myth for over a decade. Would like to see it finally come into fruition.

The Vrango looks great, but who takes a Ti and CF knife fishing? Sounds like a utility knife that the working man can't really afford... Overall it seems like the entire line is going higher end. It seems curious that they don't use Taichung to bring a more affordable knife or 2 to the market. Ti and CF seem to be the standard options for future Spydies. I am waiting for more G-10 and FRN...

I guess when you have craftsmen as capable as those at Taichung, you put them to good use making high end, custom quality knives no one else can. It would be a shame to have them building Byrds. Like having Michelangelo paint a garage.

There was mention of some of the new models eventually being FRN, like the Lil Temp 2.

I had the exact same thoughts with this one, it seemed to fill a niche I wouldn't think would be there. It is super nice though. As for the rest, see below.

This is absolutely correct. Spyderco is pushing the envelope of what a production knife company can do, and you can't hold back your talent.

You're also correct about the lil temp and other models. They need to be vetted first in "slab" before they go to FRN. It's the unfortunate truth that variety in "affordable" FRN will take a while to grow, since the up front cost is very high. It's my understanding that this is also the plan for the new D'allara.

Rest assured, though, that while Spyderco is pushing their limits on the high end, they're also taking time to grow their "value" producers as well. They showed off some Ti Byrds (which I thought would be pictured for us) that felt very high quality but were meant to be priced VERY reasonably.

Ugh, looks like I'll need to pick up a Vrango now as well. I just can't say no to fun collabs!
