Hi Peacemaker,
I have watched and collected these for a few years, and end up with three. After all this experience, I still don't know much, but I believe they were all made in Switzerland, in at least a couple of production runs. The really early ones had the name "Klotzli" inscribed on the blsde, while the later ones simply had "Swiss Made". The carbon fiber changed during production as well, with the majority being shiny cf just like that used recently on the cf Delica, etc. It was shiny and slick. The other variation is the most beautiful matte-finished cf I've ever seen. These seem quite rare.
I've seen serial numbers as high as 1600 or so, but have no idea of the total production. Gadgetman is about right on prices I've seen on ebay...low about $175 (a steal), high over $350. IMHO, these are the real gems from Spyderco... so far ahead of their time in concept and construction and as smooth as the best custom knife.
You might check out the Klotzli website. I've seen some replicas (w/o the hole, I think), which look pretty nice.
Hope this helps some.
Dave

Aloha!
I'm a bit late in replying to this, but although you're looking for the CF versions, if it's a lightweight, DO get it!
I got my FRN Walker from Ironstone a few years back and I carried her very little. Even though she was just FRN, she was just TOO beautiful to use. Blade shape and handle ergos are simply awesome. "Specially the raised logo over the pivot pin, it made a great reference point.
Hope you find ANY Spyderco Walker! Best of luck!
God will put you over...if you let Him!
