You're in a pretty special part of the world there. I had a job many years ago that required me to commute thru Bryce Canyon daily. I never got tired of that drive.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
definitely a beautiful area. we hit grand canyon, petrified forest, zion, bryce canyon, capitol reef, canyonlands, mesa verde, and then finished up with arches today. it's been a long week full of amazing views and experiences. i could honestly spend a week at each park, but we've had to choose our adventures for this trip. can't wait to come back someday, hopefully with a photography focus instead of just an experience focus.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

How's the total handle thickness with those Darby, compared to the FRN?

Good to see you popping around more often again Darby. Also a few surprises with the scales swaps I've seen in previous pictures lately. Hope all is well!

I see - thanks anyway, learned a thing or two about fishing from your post in any caseMushroom wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 7:30 amI have actually never cleaned a fish with a serrated edge - so unfortunately I cannot provide much feedback in that regard.I mostly fish "catch-and-release" though, so I rarely ever give myself the opportunity to try in the first place. In this case the Stretch is my dedicated fishing knife but just for the basic stuff like cutting line, cutting chunks of bait, repairing gear, opening packages, etc. The species of fish in this photo needs to nearly double in size before I can legally harvest it anyway, so this one had to go back.

Would be supercool it it did though!RugerNurse wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 6:17 amThe chapparal comes in magnacut?
Edit: Oops, just realized that was the Sage
I personally am perfectly happy with XHP, but Magnacut would sure help to get the Chap in more peoples hands and probably make them appreciate its amazing design and unique features and also perhaps rise more interest for thinner blades in general....

They are slightly thicker and a little contoured. They feel great in the hand. I can take a pic later.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
It’s been on my list to try for sometime. Maybe I’ll move it next up to get. I do love a thin blade. Happy to see the trend of thinner stock and hopefully thinner behind the edge is coming back.Wartstein wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 11:42 pmWould be supercool it it did though!RugerNurse wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 6:17 amThe chapparal comes in magnacut?
