Wow, you did it. I’ve thought long and hard about modding many of my Spydercos with an Emerson opener, since the knife I used to carry for over a decade was a waved Endura. Once you carry something like that around for a long time, ‘deployment’ is just something that gets in the way.

I love it. That is a smaller hook than the usual Emerson. How is it working for you?

If I had a dollar! 🤣🤘 Great shot! 🍄

I used to post a lot of pictures of mushrooms on social media (I still do but I used to, too) and I developed a little bit of a reputation for it. As a result, I would regularly get sent pictures of mushrooms from friends and family saying exactly that. It's something I always appreciate. 🍄

Man, Taichung have got their 💩 together. Along with visiting Golden, I would love to meet the people making these knives someday. The level of fit and finish they're reaching really deserves some praise. The only part of this knife that isn't absolutely flawless is the edge bevel, and that might be forgivable considering how much of a PITA this steel must be to grind. Everything else from blade grinds being even and blade being centered and really nice even edge chamfering and the strongest detent I've felt from a Spyderco compression lock, it's all you can really ask for. If I were limited to shorter blade lengths this would absolutely be one of my top choices.

Image

And the stand out detail from all 3 Sages I've owned is absolutely amazing pivot action right out of the box. I've also had the original Sage 1 and still have a Sage 3, and the pivots have all been the smoothest and tightest of any out of the box action I've felt.

If you had told me when I was a young teenager that I'd someday be proud to carry a knife that's made in Taiwan I probably would have laughed until I passed out.

Still not sure about this color though 🫤

Maybe Spyderco can come up with a trailing point version of the current LT3? :smlling-eyes
