Doubling up on Micarta Monday, but it’s K390carta for me.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Dodging rain showers and trying to get my lawn mowed before I go back to work tomorrow. Not 15V weather, in my estimation.

Just "hanging out" waiting by the drain for my sump pump to make sure it's still working. A lot of rain and multiple power outages the past few days. I'd rather wait out here than climb into the crawl space and check the pump itself!

I don’t know anything about serrations. Don’t know how I feel about them yet.

I felt the same way and looked up everything I could on the forums here about serrations…took me a minute to warm up to them but am so glad I did…it’s definitely a different animal than PE but super useful in certain situations…give it some time and you’ll be good…oh and another thing, the first time I saw your post I missed the Dfly IPA 👏👊

I've tried serrations 3 different times over the years, they just don't work for me. Unfortunately, that same knife you have was the snaggiest of all 3. I did reprofile it, and rounded the tips a bit using the Sharpmaker CBN stones, it cut better, but I was still reaching for a plain edge every time. Hopefully you have better luck!

Thanks all. I’ll try them for a bit and might go to the plain edge dragonfly salt. We’ll see. I don’t quite understand how they function over plain edges. I’ll have to reread that posting on them.

Oh man, I got bike envy. Doing my best to hold off on new knife purchases so that I can pick up a Ripley AF.

You guys are making me wish we had worthwhile MTB trails here. Probably good for me that we don't, I don't crash anywhere near as much on gravel and road.

If it makes you feel any better, we don’t really have worthwhile gravel roads here. Most of my “gravel” riding is XC mtb riding, just a lot less comfortable. :spiral-eyes
