Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
ha! nope. i just love this knife and thought the corrugated steel in chipotle looked cool as a background while i was waiting in line to have my burrito built. bonus: shooting, editing, and posting photos makes the line feel faster.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I mostly post here, but sometimes post to Reddit and Facebook as well. I posted a similar photo the other day with a Bugout the Dragonfly, and got so much hate! It's funny to me how easy it is to for Spyderco fans to hate on another American-made knife with high-end PM Steels and ergonomic designs. Don't get me wrong, I practically bleed Spyderco - but I bet I get a lot more internet points posting this pair than I did the other day, and I think that's just plain silly.
Apart from the internet points, I don't get what folks hate about the Bugout. It's a very useful size, very useful shape, and very useful weight. I could understand liking other knives better, but I really don't see anything to hate about it.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

That’s just sad. I really like the Bugout, nothing to hate there at all. I have the same ranger green one, and a mini, and there is lots to like there. So slim and light, with lots of useable edge for the size and weight, the only thing keeping them from getting the pocket time they deserve is the lack of spydie hole and my increasing preference for a backlock in most situations.kennethsime wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 11:13 pmApart from the internet points, I don't get what folks hate about the Bugout. I have some intentions of trimming the herd quite substantially, but my Bugouts have never been considered for the chopping block.

Chestnut oak that was coming down due to lightning strike (top was blown out)…asked the guy if he cared if I took a photo before removing the ladybugs and he said sure, then gave me a funny look when I whipped out the goddard for a photo…colors were pretty close

Hahaa! Internet points! It is a great little knife. Extremely efficient little design. Great neutral grip. Versatile blade shape that is nice and thin. I swapped the scales out with G10. Not the a biggest fan of the lock, but it is a great little knife.kennethsime wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 11:13 pmApart from the internet points, I don't get what folks hate about the Bugout. A pair today.

Wow, I didn’t realize how close in blade length the Kapara is to the Endura!
