Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Here’s another shot of the Aqua Salt that I took yesterday, except with the knife in focus this time.Wartstein wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 12:16 am
Oh man, now you're joining Vivi in making me want to try that Aqua Salt handle with your pics...![]()
Thought I could remain being more "sensible" when it comes to (resisting...) fixed blade purchases than I am with folders... not so sure anymore..
... really nice summer-feeling-pic btw...

It’s very comfortable in hand, definitely worth a try.

There’s not a wrong choice, but that’s the problem with to many new knives in a short period of time. My personal vote is for either of the ones on the outer edges!

Maybe I throw the salt 2 in my pocket. The native salt is currently soaking in the sink to test the magnacut

Definitely a sleeper in their lineup. It’s a great knife though!ladybug93 wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 11:56 amevery time i see these it makes me wish i had one.Mushroom wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 10:51 amHere’s another shot of the Aqua Salt that I took yesterday, except with the knife in focus this time.![]()

I’ve only carried it a few times now while out fishing, so my use has been limited primarily to cutting up bait and cutting fishing line. Stabbing it into this old salt aged wood pylon is the most wood the edge has touched so far.RugerNurse wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 12:14 pmHow’s the edge retention outdoors doing wood stuff?Mushroom wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 10:51 amHere’s another shot of the Aqua Salt that I took yesterday, except with the knife in focus this time.![]()

Vivi has used one of these knives to **** and back though. I’m sure he has a ton of experience with this knife outdoors that he may be able to share.

Dang it man!!! I love that knife and had tried to put it outa my thoughts but between you and VIVI I’m finding it hard to resist…and I haven’t looked but I’m 1000% sure it’s more expensive than the Centofante or Chaparral…not to mention my fixed blade collection is/has never been stellarMushroom wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 10:51 amHere’s another shot of the Aqua Salt that I took yesterday, except with the knife in focus this time.Wartstein wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 12:16 am

Unfortunately the plaid edge model has been discontinued and might prove difficult to find at MAP. The serrated edge model is still available but your suspicions are correct, it costs more than both the Centofante and Chaparral LW. It comes in at about $149 MAP, at the moment.

This knife redone in LC200N would be a real winner. Good dive knife and hiking knife.SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 12:42 pmDang it man!!! Not to make the thread about the Aqua Salt, but I agree it would be a winner in LC200N. Unfortunately I believe Sal said the molds for the handle were shot so not likely we'll see the return of it. So of course I bought one of each hearing that.RugerNurse wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 12:54 pmThis knife redone in LC200N would be a real winner. I know they had the waterway which seems to have disappeared. But another Lc200n fixed blade is sorely needed.Bemo wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 1:59 pmNot to make the thread about the Aqua Salt, but I agree it would be a winner in LC200N.
