Kidding of course, I understand how it does not appeal to everyone.
i'm fine with fishing when i need to for food, but i really enjoy either exploring or relaxing when in the outdoors. fishing introduces a goal and a purpose that can cause frustration when it's not going well. laying in a hammock, on the other hand, is never disappointing. also, the payoff for fishing when you are not eating it is just being glad that you were able to pierce a poor fish's mouth and yank it out of where it can breathe just to feel good about that accomplishment before throwing it back. i just don't like anything about it unless i need to eat.

I totally get the fishing thing as I know several people who feel the same way, but you might better stick to the hammock thing because golf also introduces a goal and a purpose that imo creates waaay more frustration when it’s not going well…unless of course your next meal depends on what you catch.
yeah, dude. a morning of best ball with some good friends is far less frustrating, as is some time at the driving range. if there's a chill way of doing something, that's where you'll find me.
We know where to find you, Here! 24/7,, even on a short road trip with your family
Instinctive knife throwing in the woods definitely can have its cumbersome sides:
For example when missing the target on long shots and the knife goes right into the soil and disappears...
Happens quite a bit to me, today I had to completely dig up the square area that can be seen for over an hour with bare hands before I found my thrower...
... my carry, the HAP40 Endura was not of much help in that particular task...

Thank you! 52100 corrodes a bit too easily to be a primary EDC/work folder for me, but I still get so much enjoyment using these types of carbon steels.
To me that corrosion really looks good, as do any signs of use like scratches and patina and everything that shows a knife actually has a "life".
Very good point - and thank you! Honestly, even with 52100 the corrosion is only bad enough to make me worry if the knife is gonna be staying wet for more than a few hours, getting in sustained contact with corrosive liquids, etc. Not things that I actually deal with every day, although working outside in a wet area I love the peace of mind of stainless steels.
Having a dry, relaxing day in the sun, so carrying this one again today haha.
Whether you know it or not, your posts have inspired a few of my knife purchases in the past. That PacSalt 2 SE is one I've been considering since it dropped. I probably need it in my life don't I?
