Greetings, engine!
Hopefully, you will be able to acquire one, too. The Para 3, and the Delica, are my two favorite near-3" bladed folders!

Thanks guys. There are so many great scales for this model it makes it hard to choose!
Thanks to Fly Fishing Rick for all of the great photos of his Smock over the years.

Yeah Jimmy has really sold those RC Bladeworks Scales with his Smock. I have their page pinned for one of those Micarta sets for a Military with tip up configuration. Heck, maybe two Militaries who knows.

But how the flat grip area ends pretty soon at the BACK end of the handle and starts to "curve up".
I think this is why the Siren handle is a bit short for Vivis very large hand and his pinky starts to come off the handle end.
For Illustration: The flat grip area ends at the red line in the pic but could have been a bit longer easily given the overall handle length.
I don't have a Siren yet, but I think the handle will be perfect for any but XXL and larger hands and I also think I'll like that guard at the front end.
Looks like one can easily choke up with the index finger in front of the guard should need be.

Thanks, Salty, our hands should be f about the same size and so I should be fine!
Still: Just from looking at the Siren this is the one single design feature I don´t fully understand: Why did Lance make the grip area so much shorter than it could easily be given the overall handle length?
If the "curve" would be at the "handle spine" (and not the "handle downside" where the fingers sit), I´d see a reason, cause this would create kind of a ramp for the hand to pass by the knife when it is in pocket.
As it is,since the knife can only be carried tip up, that curve always faces away from the hand anyway when the knife is in pocket.
Perhaps it looks cooler the way it is, but practically speaking: A longer grip area would not hurt people with normal sized hands, but rather give even those more options, and would help folks with really big hands to get a good, full grip on the Siren.
Again, certainly just a very minor issue though and the only one I could see with this otherwise probably great design ("probably" just cause I actually never held one)

I also have XL size hands, probably about the same as yours, and find the Siren a perfect fit. As a person not hung up on "official" choils I am sure you will appreciate how comfortable it is to used choked up. The broad smooth G10 feels great.Wartstein wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 11:15 pmSaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 6:17 amHi Warstein - I don’t know about the butt end of the handle but I have xl hands and it fits perfectly and one can easily/comfortably choke up in front of the guard…gonna be replacing my old one tomorrow come he.. or high water!!!JRinFL wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 4:58 pmYes, apologies. I do agree that the handle could have been differently shaped at the end though.

It's very comfortable but it wouldn't want to be any shorter.

I feel like I owe this knife an apology for not carrying it for so long.
