I love it.
Another user has a (maybe FRN?) yellow version that is also really great.
I am wondering if there was any talk of a standard salt version?
I cant care much about the titanium. Would it maybe make it a bit cheaper as well?
Best,

See this is why you just can't judge color from pics on the internet, because I'd swear that was some weird shade of gray and not anything close to brown. I'm holding my 15V Shaman next to this pic and it's hilarious how different they look.

When this came I was amazed at how sharp it is from the factory. I think it's the sharpest knife I've ever bought. It literally will whittle a hair. With ease.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

So I visited my local knife shop this afternoon cause the third round of the Masters was postponed due to weather and look what I found…always wanted to try a Stretch xl lw - unbelievable ergos and when there’s a Salt version available it will definitely trump my favorite big 3 - Pacific/Siren/Caribbean…(hope Sal gives it a tiny sheepsfoot tip tho or I’ll have to mod it…the lil Native wharnie was a total surprise and is mind blowingly good…looks almost stonewashed…gotta start preparing dishes for tomorrow so I’m giving them both kitchen duties

Was never a space cadet, but with LC200N I might be more in space than a cadet.

Lance posted an answer to a similar question. I believe he said it is designed to be safer when used on a small fishing kayak on the rocking ocean while simultaneously trying to control a large fish.
Maybe we need two versions of the Siren, one for land with the grip space moved closer to the blade, and the original sea version?

when you're asked to cut up fruit for a fruit salad, you head to the sock drawer for your spydiechef and get to work.

Great RIT dye there.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Thanks, but I was not talking about the guard at the handle FRONT end.JRinFL wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 6:26 pmLance posted an answer to a similar question. Maybe we need two versions of the Siren, one for land with the grip space moved closer to the blade, and the original sea version?
But how the flat grip area ends pretty soon at the BACK end of the handle and starts to "curve up".
I think this is why the Siren handle is a bit short for Vivis very large hand and his pinky starts to come off the handle end.
For Illustration: The flat grip area ends at the red line in the pic but could have been a bit longer easily given the overall handle length.
I don't have a Siren yet, but I think the handle will be perfect for any but XXL and larger hands and I also think I'll like that guard at the front end.
Looks like one can easily choke up with the index finger in front of the guard should need be.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Thanks for teaching me a new English term: Had to look up "tranquil" in the dictionary

Yes, the place is tranquil indeed, as is the whole gorge it is situated in.
The gorge is called Glasenbachklamm ((https://www.outdooractive.com/mobile/en ... zoic%20Era.), very close to the city of Salzburg, has nice waterfalls and ponds to jump in in summertime and I found several ammonites there already

(No spin) throwing knives is certainly the most fun and the bigger challenge, but sometimes my throwing hawk needs some love too (by getting tossed around
)
Does not get much better than running through the woods while the snow is falling, breathing the fresh, cold air, having fun with the tomahawk and a nice Spydie in pocket
