Giving these two guys a workout. CruWear is some solid stuff but s30v is game. If only I had the heart to use my S35vn sprint pm2 but it’s staying BNIB for now.

All these steels are great and it’s a great time to be a knife enthusiast… BUT… it’s hard to beat steals that WERE DESIGNED FOR BLADES in the first place. use that S35vn. But you might like s30v better, especially in a folder… with these steels it really becomes apparent. S35vn and s30v is good stuff ;)

Fixed blades are another thing entirely and I think that’s where 3v, cruwear, m4, etc… shine. But here I am with a recent purchase of a cruwear endela and 4v military.

Thanks, I just have to overcome that initial ‘brand new don’t use’ phase. Although the knife was made around 2013-14 so it’s hardly new. 😅

s30v is amazing, for a while I was a ‘steel snob’ and wanted models in different steels, but now I am quite content with it and would not hesitate to get another s30v knife. Possibly going to pick up a military in it, just to say I’ve used the military1 when the milie2 comes out. 😀

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I sharpened mine up last night and my son was VERY impressed with the ease with which it sliced through thin catalog pages. Truth be told, so was I.

Picked up this used Pacific Salt on a whim last week. Cleaned it, sharpened it, dyed it "grey" which is nearly black, and played with rounding the spine. Will continue to play with mods on this one.

Definitely enjoy carrying a corrosion proof and very tough model that already has taken some lumps.

Actually got two questions/compliments on this one today while helping in the warehouse. That red/black color scheme is an eye catcher.
