If you guys can find an orange Urban at a decent price, I'd snatch it up...slipjoint, no liners, G10, Wharncliffe, weighing in at a svelte 1.98 oz. Super cool in my book... Ohh yes, I've been carrying mine all day...

Not sure what you'd consider a decent price, but KSF does have them (33 of them!) for around $93. KSF tends to run closer to full MSRP on Spyderco's, but they give good service, and sometimes have sales. They currently have a promotion for $10 off on Spyderco's, but only over $100, so the Urban doesn't qualify. I have ordered from them a number of times and never had an issue.Ned wrote:If you guys can find an orange Urban at a decent price, I'd snatch it up...slipjoint, no liners, G10, Wharncliffe, weighing in at a svelte 1.98 oz. More than I thought...the upswept tip is great for getting under the corner of stickers, and I scraped a few dried gaskets with it too and it's even better than a leaf shaped blade for that. It's definitely a looker in person, and the ergonomics are twice as good as I was expecting if not more...SUPER comfy knife in hand. It also carries more unobtrusively than I'd have guessed and it just feels beefy.

Tri-axle Western Star picker truck with a Palfinger PK46002 knuckle boom picker, and with all the hydraulic extensions out as well as both manual extensions, I can have our manbasket 100' up. The shots I'll include are from a job we were doing pretty much right on the British Columbia/Alberta border in the Crowsnest pass. I drove it for a month up and down the top 7 kilometers from our staging point of the 11 kilometer access road to the mountaintop site we were working on. In the winter you have to be helicoptered up...with all 3 rear axles locked forwards as well as sideways (Power to both sides of all 3 axles) this thing climbs like a billy goat...40% grade in 3 places. The first photo was taken by a coworker of me driving the truck over a narrow wooden bridge, and the second is a shot I took of the truck at the top of the mountain and you can see the picker better.David Lowry wrote:Holy crap. What is that dash from? Looks like you drive a car with a helicopter instrument panel. LOL
