4-way clip
Carbon fiber handle
liner lock like on the Military
BG42 steel (but I'd be happy with the above 3 mods).

Would be great If they did something to the vertical wobble that soon appeares

However, the Para I got from Sal is perfect   Maybe I just got 2 lemons in the past

And maybe a lower riding clip. I love my Para/SE but it rides even higher than my Military

only 5 changes needed.
  • slightly more blade in the same size handle.
  • bulge at the back of the handle about half as big.
  • tang should fit flush in the scales like the military.
  • bg42/peel ply option
  • lower riding 4-way clip
keep everything else the same. best knife ever.

Your suggestions are good. My Para hasn't been getting carried as much lately because of the shorter blade and choil only grip. I'm thinking about modding the handle to allow for a full grip out of the choil, which I find useful at times.

I really like how light the knife is and the compression lock, when I compare it to other large G10 Spydercos I own. But I've come to not like being restricted to the choil in such a large knife.

1.Better clip - Low rider. And 4-way or tip up/tip down.
2.Different options of steels, including a low grade one. (8Cr13MOV, S30V, ZDP-189.
3.A Salt version (H1 steel blade and liners)
4.Good thumb rest jimping.
5.Different options of handle colors. (od green, black, camo, desert tan, orange)
6.Enlarged lanyard hole.
7.Compression or Ball lock. No linerlock or back-lock. Keep it innovative.
8.Keep it USA made. Please.

I'm betting this one is still a year or more out. I wish it were not but then again I'm pretty happy with the current Para. ;)

only change i vote for is either Caged Ball Bearing Lock or Ball Bearing Lock makes it completely one handed and ambidextrous and cmon its a hard use knife so you want a lock thats really dependable yet easy to clean you can even find a way to make it so the clip doesn't get in the way and you still get a 4 postion clip the lefties would love it and i would too cuz then i could have one on each side yeah dual paras

All i'd want is the 4-way clip and maybe the cool jimping on the liners like on the Manix 2 and P'Kal. Lock and size is all good to me. Sal really made a wonderful knife with this one.

I agree with getting rid of the sharp, squared off area of the spine. Also, make the serrated version available to everyone, not just the extremely lucky Arend ;) :o

4 way clip

Remove exposed blade corner

That's it, please do not change a near perfect knife. If it comes out in anything other than S30v, S90V, or D2 I will need a straight-jacket.

1. Four way wire , or lower profile clip

I like the compression lock, para military with 4-way clip would make me buy one, that was one of the thigns holding me back!

new cool colors would be nice to :spyder:

This is a suggestion for millie and para if i may be so bold. H1 blade and locking/lining components. Gonna drive the price up, but this would be a guarenteed Heirloom piece that my son will be using when Im gone.

Im going to echo what a lot of others have said. I would like to see 4 way carry. I dont think this should be a problem if there is a strong detent. I dont mind the handle like it is, but the hump could be a little softer. I would like to see the back side of the blade covered when folded. I would like to see maybe another choice of steel such as CPM S90V or ZDP-189. Finally I would like to see the titanium handes like the Millie is getting.

adjust blade to handle ratio, but please don't shorten the handle
cover the hump or soften it
4-way deep-carry clip

and thanx for asking! :D
