Those scales are beautiful Rick ! Nice looking knife . DanTkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 12:32 pmSince I'm not much of a hard user these days, figured I'd give something else a try. Jack Wolf knives have been standing out to me recently and decided to give one a try. This is the After Hours in S90V with Tortoise Shell Kirinite scales. Super sharp, smooth and quite a looker in my eyes.

Nice and congrats!!! Love my JWK! And Ben the owner is a really cool engaging guy. I stop by their booth every year at blade show.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 12:32 pmSince I'm not much of a hard user these days, figured I'd give something else a try. Thats sick! I really like what Jack Wolf Knives has been doing. I have no experience with the actual knives but I'm still a huge fan of how the owner expresses his creativity through the brand. His traditional styled frame locks are so cool too. I'm still too much of a sucker to buy anything except Spyderco but I haven't always been...TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 12:32 pmSince I'm not much of a hard user these days, figured I'd give something else a try. Don't tell anyone but these are mine.

Top is Lionsteel Dom and bottom is Lionsteel Roundhead - Both slip joints. The After Hours design reminds me a lot of the Dom.

Just want to my first knife show in Starsbourg, France. Called the European Knife Show.
bought a custom from two crazy talented french dudes

I forgot to put details The top one is made by Gabriel Berthelemy aka La Forge Agab. It's a beautiful titanium linerlock with RWL34 beadblasted blade. The scale material is micarta. Vintage linen as a bolster and backspacer, and the collar/scale is micarta from WWII era, coming from a german phone. The action is incredible and everything just feels very smooth. It has a beautiful titanium clip with no visible hardware.
The one under is made by Olivier Ouertal. I knew of this maker and knew I had to check his table. But as soon as I saw this one (only knife I hadn't seen before the show), I knew I had to buy it without any question asked
. The handle is made from boxtree and oak burl. We talked a bit and he wanted to use box tree on a handle because he feels like this wood is too often discarded, as being too boring. The blade is also made from RWL34, the grind is interesting because it is hollow/concave in the recurve part, but flawlessly become convexe near the tip. In true french fashion, this knife is a guillotine without having the tiniest bit of play in any direction. The acoustics of this one are just marvelous.

@Manixguy@1994 Thanks Dan, figured I'd switch it up and add something different to the collection. Really is a beauty, will look nice on my desk while working away on the keyboard haha!
@JSumm
That's right!!! I totally forgot you had one as well. Maybe that's subconsciously what got me going in that direction. That's cool you got to meet Ben and talk with him. I like the story behind these knives. I respect that, and don't mind paying a premium price when his work and inspiration is in honor of his grandfather. The swag you get with his knives is very cool and unique as well.
@Mushroom
Who is this person on Nick's account!? That guy ONLY has Spyderco knives as long as I've been around here haha!! I haven't given it much use yet, but the knife is extremely well done. Great materials and I love the modern twist on the traditional knives. Interested to see what they continue to come up with!

Haven’t been on here in a while, so I forgot how to post pictures. But I have an Emerson CQC-7 waveless in the pocket now (lowered the edge angle too) and have been loving the Gen III Ludt by Microtech. I actually think that’s the perfect edc knife. Picked up three different varieties I like it so much.

Looks incredibly refined!
Have to ask - why the random pretzel amongst them?
Going back to Caly.

Ahah, good point ! Pretzel are a known specialty of Alsace, where the knife show was held. It supposed to be 20 times as big but I did not have the time to go and get oneSpeedHoles wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 6:15 pmRamonade wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 3:18 amJust want to my first knife show in Starsbourg, France. I like the tortoise shell looks.
But what catches my eye each time you post it - do you like that deep notch between the ricasso and cutting edge?

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I read that it's supposed to act as a sharpening coil. Indeed could be a bit smaller, but thankfully it hasn't created any issues with the minor cutting I've done with it so far. Not quite like the Smock, but then again it doesn't NEED it for a button lock like the Smock does.SpeedHoles wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 11:47 amI like the tortoise shell looks.

Looks great Rick! I have the Benny and love it. Holding out for a locking version of the Venom Jack.
